STORY:
Once upon a time, in a dark far away forest two poor things Tommy and Lisa, went for a walk in the woods when suddenly they came on a beautiful house covered with sweets. Strange old lady was living in the nice house. She invited the little ones in the house by offering delicious treats. Children didn't even suspect that that was a trap. The lady turned out an angry witch. She grabbed Tommy and through into cage. Now Lisa will have to go through many tasks to save her brother from the evil witch. The old woman told Liza to find the lost gingerbread man, the path to whom she will find on a magic map. Only then Tommy will be free. Suddenly the gingerbread man turns out to be a real friend for the girl, and his advices helps Liza to find a way how to defeat the evil witch.
Following the magical road you will have to go through many tasks and visit the distant and unpredictable corners of the sweet world. Together with Lisa, you have to help the gingerbread man get out of the trap, build a real candy pyramid, resolve various tasks to get through the dense jungle, faced the sleeping dragon and try not to wake him! Adventures are waiting!
Collect marmalades, open new levels and remember, only you can help Lisa complete all tasks and do not lost her way!

This bejeweled game is almost identical to the extremely popular game CandyCrush. You have a predefined number of moves in which you need to score as many points as possible. You do this by matching 3 or more of the same candy together in a straight line. By combining 4 or more of the same candy you'll get special candies. These special candies have a big range of effects, such as clearing whole rows, exploding, destroying all candies of the same color across the board, and similar. You can even buy special items to help you clear your level. It all sounds and looks really easy, but I can assure you the game becomes more difficult as you progress through it. Gingerbread Story has 80 colorful, bright and very challenging levels. By clearing a level you'll earn coins and with those you can buy power-ups/special items to make clearing the next levels easier. I have had a pop up where you are able to buy coins with real money, however, in-game transactions do NOT work. It is impossible to buy coins with real money, and in all honesty that was a big plus to me! This game is relaxing, fun to play, addictive and at times highly frustrating. Gingerbread Story is a mediocre match 3 game and really isn't fun. It's a wannabe Candy Crush with 0 appeal. There are many more match 3 games out there that are a lot more fun.3 found this helpful
It starts as an ok match 3 game but it quickly turns into a too hard, non enjoyable hard mode mess and I have this suspicious feeling this was originally a mobile game. Works fine on Linux with Proton (Proton 4.2-1).2 found this helpful
