Earth is being reconstructed and that's bad!
Gizmo is a Saturday-morning 3D platformer inspired by 90s classics of the genre.
All humans have been put to sleep except for the ingenious Doctor Bolt who is reconstructing the planet into a fully mechanised one! The only problem is that this has taken a long time and he ought to be stopped. Earth is now one huge construction site built by Dr Bolt's population of robots!
Collapse into canister form and roll around Arctic Base 4, bouncing off robot heads and slamming into droids at high velocity.
Find the transmission beacons among the pipes and platforms, listen to Dr Bolt's broadcasts and discover what's behind that giant locked door.
Features
- One level and a TON of stuff to do in it! You can either take your time and finish the level normally or you can collect all the hidden beacons, kill all the enemies and smash all the barrels.
- We love high skill ceilings and Gizmo is no exception. For skilled players there is a secret door that will start to close after 60 seconds, leading to a bonus area!
- And of course, you're timed throughout the whole thing. Gizmo has a surprisingly high level of finesse when speed running and there is a ton of moves and surprising ways of navigating the world that can shed off those valuable seconds!
- Fully customizable controls so you can play how best suits you.

There is so much we wanted to do with Gizmo. We love the old platformers from the 90s and felt there weren't many new ones that captured the same feeling. We didn't want an open world, we wanted designed, structured levels with clear progression.
It turns out it's too much work for us to do on our own, but rather than wasting the project away we decided to clean up what he had and put it on Steam! We believe this is only a slice of a larger game.
We want a full platforming game! 25+ levels, different themes set all around the world exploring Dr Bolt's bizarre version of Earth.
When developing this concept level, we dreamt up the larger picture first to give the game more depth and direction. This example level stands alone, but presents a lot of the ideas about the characters and setting that belong in a larger game.
Anyone that's familiar with Milo-Games will know that we also want boss fights.

Most will never read this, but I will review the games I find simply and thoroughly. 1 What is "Gizmo?" A 3D platformer inspired by the two main Sony platformers: “Crash Bandicoot” and “Ratchet and Clank” as well as taking some inspiration from the "Sonic Adventure" games. 2 What does this game play like? A 3D platformer with a basic double jump, spin attack, and roll to gain speed. Simple rankings Story N/A/10: None to speak of. Game play 7/10: Look, this game is free. I am not going to tear apart what is ultimately a demo for a project that will most likely never see the light of day. However, if this is the best indie devs can do, you can now see why 3D platformers are almost a dead genera. Some indie devs are able to make games in this genera, but for this game, it does not live up to the games of the past. The platforms are small and demand precision, yet your jump is hard to control. All damage is a one hit kill with limited check points, making this game borderline impossible for a kid (you know, the main audience) to play. This…
I played this game a few years back and ig dindn´t review it back then, hoping this is going to be a demo for a bigger game... Anyways, the game was really fun and polished for a free one, remember loving it. It is a shame it didn´t develop into a longer game cause I´d def buy it.
Positive: Free to play and simple to start ✔️ 3D platformer with a fun retro vibe inspired by classic 90s games 🎮 Supports full controller play, which feels good for platforming sections 🕹️ A small but satisfying challenge for platformer fans Negative: Only one level currently — feels like a slice of a larger game English only, no French interface or subtitles (can limit accessibility) 🏆 Completionists & Achievement Hunters: There are 3 Steam achievements tied to finishing the level, collecting all beacons, destroying crates, and reaching a secret end. You can unlock everything in one session if you explore thoroughly and push for the hidden paths, making this a very quick completion for achievement hunters. Overall: A tiny, free platforming experience with a fun old‑school spirit. It’s short and basic, but feels polished enough for a quick run, especially if you enjoy platformers and want a 100% achievement run without a big time investment.
Gizmo, was a rather fun but short experience, it's actually quite a decent platformer, if I'm honest! My only real problem I had with the game, were the control's, now for the most part they worked great, but once I got to the secret area, it felt like I was being put through some sort of sick social experiment, the roll into the jump repeatedly didn't work correctly, I ended up spinning instead, this may just be a skill issue on my part but regardless it was infuriating to get through! Overall I would still recommend you check this game out! Solid 7/10
