About Gordian
Taking inspiration from The Witness, Tunic, and many other great games, Gordian is a finely crafted puzzle game full of tricks and secrets.Tie all 21 knots as tight as possible in order to learn about topology through the rule set Gordian uses to represent it.Click to place rope, and then click circles to move it to adjacent tiles.Right click to undo your last move, hold to undo more.Earn medals by tying knots as tight as possible, which unlocks more knots for you to puzzle over.This game can be quite a challenge at times. If you find yourself overwhelmed, your brain tied into knots, just set the game down for a bit. Don't worry, it will save your progress.Take your time. Before you know it your brain will be solving knots in the background and you'll come back with a whole new perspective.
Controls:
Click anywhere place the first dot, from there you may extend the rope in any of the indicated directions by clicking (or tapping) in a valid location.Right click to undo, hold down right click to undo further. For keyboard use the "z" key, and for Xbox controllers use the B button.The settings menu is in the top left, allowing you to adjust volume, reset the game, hide the UI, or quit.What Steam players say

Pleasure to see how far Gordian has come since 2022 itch.io build 👏 . Polish and updated graphics aside, the core puzzle-solving satisfaction is all still here and is what really makes this game so special1 found this helpful

I've never been good at puzzle games (they're not really my cup of tea) but Gordian was enjoyable enough to keep me entertained. I enjoyed pursuing a number of knots that I knew beforehand, but that was it. There's a few minor hints, but it's relatively hands-free, with the player expected to experiment and practice until they get tired and tire of playing. There are drawings in the game to help you out, but I did not find them too helpful in my pursuit of a new knot. The abstractness just didn't resonate with me. I need to give this game more time. It's a very relaxing atmosphere and the polish is superb. Minor things like the music choice, color choice, and overall vibe make this a fun, "open this game up and see what happens" sort of title. I'd recommend this game for knot lovers and people looking to relax after a long day of not knotting knots.
