About Greebles

Greebles is an action packed game of skill involving bulldozers, cockroaches and fish. Players attempt to navigate a maze of blocks while crushing Greebles to gain points. The more Greebles you crush, the more points you get! Just don't let them touch you!
Push blocks to send them sliding, time it right to scoop up greebles and crush them:

Push a block that can't move to crush it. Some blocks grant buffs to the player, like speed:

Be careful though, different types of blocks behave differently than regular blocks. Grenade blocks explode, pushing adjacent blocks and killing adjacent players or greebles:

Bounce blocks prevent blocks from stopping when they otherwise would, and generator blocks can't be pushed, but periodically spawn new greebles:

Some generators can be crushed, others can only be destroyed by surrounding them with blocks.
Gameplay progresses to the next level when all greebles and greeble generators have been destroyed.
There are many other types of blocks, here are just a few:
While fun to play solo, Greebles becomes much more fun with friends. Up to 4 players can play (PvP or co-op) on a single machine, although it can get a bit crowded around the keyboard! Up to 9 machines (any platform) can connect for LAN play, for a total limit of 36 players per match!
Available natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Greebles intends to be an exact replica of the original game released in 1997. (Produced in collaboration with Stairways Software)

It's great to finally see Greebles available again! Nice work by Grassblade to update my old code to work on modern systems.9 found this helpful
The lion's share of my time in Greebles comes not from Steam, but from the old family Macintosh in the basement of my childhood home. But I have played enough of this version to say this local multiplayer gem of the heyday of old-school Mac shareware by Peter Lewis has stepped from 1997 into the current day magnificently unchanged thanks to Grassblade Entertainment, right down to still having a Register button on the main menu (though the game is, obviously, already registered). Greebles supports up to four players (any number of which can be CPU-controlled), either via a direct IP connection or crowded around a single keyboard just like back in the day. Players maneuver around a mazelike battlefield trying to destroy all the titular greebles - generic enemies that can look like nearly anything, depending on the theme of the particular level. The main action for this is by pushing any of the level's many blocks, which slide and bounce and scoop up any greebles or players (including the one who launched them) in their path, crushing them upon hitting another obstacle. Some blocks can also be broken to provide power-ups, like shields, increased movement speed, the ability to kill en…4 found this helpful
I love this game1 found this helpful
This is a faithful port of one of my favourite classic Mac games. It retains a couple of minor bugs from back then and also adds achievements that don't work but it is still incredibly fun. It is like Pengo but with an epic soundtrack and local multiplayer that can flip between co-operation and competition on a whim.1 found this helpful
Greebles is a simple but addictive little arcade-style game with a great soundtrack and unique levels. Equally fun to play alone or with friends. For the price, it's hard to pass up. Thank you Grassblade for bringing this gem back into the land of the living.1 found this helpful
Just like the good old days, on the good old Mac. And here we go again! =)
