✦ AI summary

Players praise this Tempest clone for having solid polish and becoming genuinely rewarding once the difficulty ramps up around level 40, though some wish the challenge came earlier. However, most criticisms center on poor controls—floaty mouse aiming that requires holding to fire while moving, undefined controller configurations that don't work properly—alongside an inconsistent visual style and overall lack of innovation that makes extended play sessions more frustrating than fun.

There are a few decent Tempest clones out in the wild, this is not one. - Floaty, non tactile mouse control. - Painful to play for prolonged periods, as you have to hold down the LMB to fire and you can only move if you are firing. - Odd visual design elements, almost like different graphical elements were created by two people, one who wanted to "try" to make the game look modern, the other who wanted the game to have 8-bit visuals. - Nothing new on a 40 year old game design. Not fun, nor enjoyable and challenging for all the wrong reasons. If you have never played Tempest, then I implore you to do so.

Triblaster is an incredibly boring game where you are a thing at the bottom and shoot things that come from the top. And the controls are awful plus they don't even tell you what they are.

I feel like the game really starts around level 40. The difficulty is lower than I'd like before that, so when the difficulty level goes up it makes the game a lot more rewarding. I doubt the game will be updated any more (it's quite old now) but my wishlist would be: 1. Harder difficulty earlier on. I want to be challenged before level 40, tbh. 2. Vsync. I get a lot of tearing on my monitor, so it would nice to add the option for vsync. 3. Would love the option to not have the camera rotate on those levels where it follows the rotation of the level. It's not very nice, really. Other than that, I think it's a fun game. It's nicely polished and works well, I just want more of a challenge from it difficulty-wise. I got it for like a dollar twenty or something and I'd definitely say I had my money's worth from it and I'll probably come back and start the game at a later level using the level select (good addition, that) so I can get to the harder stuff faster!!

This game looks like one I would love. Unfortunately controller configuration is not working, and the config is not labelled to functions. I cannot recommend this game if U have a 360 controller, until these problems R fixed.
