About Ground Zero Texas - Nuclear Edition

The chopper kicks up dust as it sets down. Through the haze of dirt and grit you make out El Cadron, a shabby, little Texas border town. It looks quiet enough, but folks have been disappearing. As a tactical weapons expert, you soon discover it's crawling with aliens disguised as humans. Welcome to Ground Zero Texas. Armed with four BattleCams outfitted with a particle beam that stuns the aliens and a RoverCam used to search out the Reticulan weapon stash, you're into a sci-fi, wild west gun fest.

Ground Zero Texas - Nuclear Edition is science fiction full motion video western shooter and is the latest remaster from the Digital Pictures library. Completely rebuilt from the ground up, GZT is now at a level quality never experienced with its previous release (1993) and has also been expanded with additional content such as deleted scenes, alternate scenes, behind the scenes footage, production and development documents, and deleted scenes.

As a tactical weapons expert, your job is to monitor multiple locations in a fictional town for alien activity and protect the citizens.
  • Directed by Dwight H. Little (Halloween 4).
  • Written by Edward Neumeier (Robocop).

Great FMV game, horrible release. The game is broken and prone to crash and include several game breaking bugs that make it impossible to complete without starting a new game and praying it won't happen a second time. For the absurd asking price just watch a youtube play through and move your mouse around and you can say you beat it

In the first 10 minutes of playing I got a glitched cutscene and my mouse cursor vanishing, which makes it impossible to to press retry or quit or do anything. Apparently this never got fixed and its a shame because I don't think this game has ever looked as good.

So it is an on-rail FMV shooter. Very B-movie vibe that I like, but the damn thing closes if you hit ESC. Which is problematic when you're looking for the pause menu, and you're forced to start the game again because no save function. Only try this game if you are a masochist who wants to play this in one session!

Loved this game back in the day, I still own it on Mega CD! It was hard as nails and frustrating to play because of the constant switching between video feeds. There is a specific way to play it and with not much in the way of wriggle room to view things your own way. There are different video feeds you would not normally see through different play throughs, for example if you don't save the girl in one scene she get's taken down to the alien chambers. When viewing the video of rescuing her - you get to see a scene with some workers, one of them being Danny Trejo!! "we don't need no sticking badges!" XD Anyways, I saw this had been released on steam and wanted to experience the game again, and view the clips as you play through the game they get saved in a bonus gallery. Unfortunately the game wouldn't start for me, black screen with music playing, had to escape back to desktop a few times to get into the game. Eventually got into the game, the video sequences seemed to pop up a lot faster than the original - making you have to switch camera feeds a lot and you miss other camera feeds. The game then crashed. That was enough for me, asked for a refund. A shame since I was looki…

This game in its current state is unplayable. The hit boxes are inaccurate and on one screen you can not hit a common enemy no matter how hard you try. due to that alone it will stop you from progressing to the next level. I had this game on Sega back in the day and loved it and they did a nice job clearing up with sharpness of the screen but again the game is not playable the way it was intended to be played. I would not buy until the devs get that fixed.

Had this game on Sega CD along with all the other FMV games: night trap, sewer shark, etc, Never beat ANY of them. Here lately all of them have been on sale for a couple bucks so i picked them up, not expecting much except nostalgia. For those who never played the original, don't expect much. I don't expect anyone other than the OG players liking this. But those who did play the original, I as pleasantly surprised with this remakes video and sound quality, they were really good. Some modern conveniences coupled with modern day controllers made this much easier than the original. I ended up beating it in an hour or so. Definitely worth the 4 bucks
