Groundskeeper 2 is a fast, tightly focused top-down action game that proudly embraces its arcade heritage while refining it for modern audiences. Developed by Orangepixel and published on Steam by Orangepixel alongside HandyGames, the game feels like a distilled celebration of classic shoot-’em-up design. It wastes no time with elaborate exposition or layered systems, instead dropping the player straight into a chaotic alien invasion where survival depends on movement, reflexes, and smart use of an ever-expanding arsenal. There's enough to stay engaged for about an hour, but beyond that, it turns into a grind for a high score. There's an achievement for 1000 points that I wanted, but I decided it's not worth it. There are some real problems: - Most importantly: I experienced a bug twice now where the sound effects go out, then the next stage the music goes out as well. Seems more likely to happen the longer you play. - The little crab enemies can get so close to you that they can damage you, and your shots don't hit them. - There's no temporary invulnerability after a hit, so if you get stuck among enemies or hit by the enemy event things, you can lose a ton of health suddenly. - Enemies…
