Rather than chasing modern gaming trends, it focuses on delivering a straightforward but challenging experience built around sharp reflexes, powerful weapons, and relentless combat. From the moment players begin their mission, the game makes its intentions clear: survive dangerous battlefields, defeat overwhelming enemies, and overcome towering bosses through skill and persistence. The adventure takes players through a variety of environments that help keep the campaign visually engaging. Snow-covered landscapes, underground caverns, volcanic regions, and alien territories all serve as battlegrounds packed with hostile creatures and mechanical threats. The pixel-art presentation successfully captures the look and feel of retro action titles while maintaining enough detail to feel polished on modern hardware. This is honestly what modern-day Contra-like shooters should aspire to. This game is fun on normal without being too easy, and perfect to challenge yourself on hard mode. But the final boss? Holly crap, you better make sure you've got a lot of lives saved up because it will cram a crusty crab up your corn hole! Worth every cent. On or off sale.

Strong thumbs down from enemy, enemy projectiles are very tiny and don't stand out against black background, lots of cheap deaths.

Awesome little indie action shooter platform game, giving off heavy Contra vibes. While the graphics may not have the panache of a AAA it has retro vibes that remind me of the Sega Genesis gameplay of Contra. There’s a choice of THREE different playable characters, giving variety, and some additional gameplay features that elevate it from Contra clone to indie-retro sleeping hit. There’s a playable demo, but I suspect once you try you’ll end up buying it. Tested and played on Steam Deck, runs perfectly.

Solid. Much like other LKK games, it knows exactly what it is - tested gameplay with a clear scope priced accordingly. Co-op is a blast, working with no issues from start to finish.
