It's a great racing simulation for its price and can be adjusted to play like an arcade game too thanks to the many options it has. If you don't want to spend too much time tweaking, you can just choose one of the 3 modes on the startup screen ( arcade, semi-pro and simulation ). So it can be played with keyboard, controller or wheel. It's one of the racing games that took the gameplay to the next level, with realistic driving physics and dynamic weather. The weather also affects the driving and is not just for show, the track becomes slippery when it's raining. The selection of circuits is not as rich as other popular simulations of its time but adequate considering the price. The game is pretty much broken on modern hardware just get GTR2.
