About GT Legends

Return to the Days Of Thunder

The golden age of motor sports has returned. Experience one of the world’s most exciting racing series in GT LEGENDS, including the legendary touring cars of the 60′s and 70′s. Collect more then 90 original FIA GTC-TC team vehicles and demonstrate your driving skill on real European racetracks.

GT Legends was announced summer 2005 and presented to media with a response that was overwhelming. The only concern expressed by the media present at the time was that they were previously blown away by GTR, and now they wanted to rate GT Legends even higher!

GT Legends keeps the authentic driving experience from GTR and takes the game play to a new level with a career mode. Enjoy the historic GT cars with vehicles like Ford Mustang, Shelby Cobra, Corvette, Jaguar, Lotus, TVR and other goodies from the 60’s and 70’s.

Key Features

  • Original Tracks: Over 25 variations of real tracks like Imola, Monza, Donington and Mondello Park
  • 5 Difficulty Levels: Ranging from the easy beginner mode to the ultra realistic simulation mode
  • Career Mode: Win numerous cups and buy your dream car in this challenging mode
  • Pure Realism: Experience an unequalled level of realism in cooperation with the FIA GTC-TC teams, incl. pit stops and car setups
  • Real Sounds: Completely authentic sounds recorded from the actual FIA racing cars
  • Multiplayer Mode: Impress your friends with rare unlockable cars and challenge up to 15 opponents online

This game is pure gold...ive been playing SimRacing games most of my gaming life, and i coming back to this one all of the times. Bougt this one when it came out on CD and played houndred of hours (still have it but cannot run it), so i bougt it again here on Steam. If youre a fan of an era when racing was manly sport and cars were absoulte gems (handling, sound, looks, no electronic assist garbage)...dont hesitate to get it, worth every damn penny...

I am really enjoying this old racing sim so far. It took a while to figure out how to set up my hardware (as usual with a new racing sim) but being that this is one is so old, it does have some extra quirks that need to be figured out. I have it set up now with my Logitech G29 + Shifter (with real shift handle), I use Fanatec CSL Elite racing pedals with load cell kit and I got it all working. I had to use a program called JoyToKey to map 5th, 6th gears and reverse cause this sim is so old it won't recognize all the buttons my setup has. Also, Steam will not count the time played at first, but there is a Steam guide to help you fix that. I'm playing this game so far without mods for now, but I have to say, the game in it's pure form is good. The graphics look halfway reasonable for such an old title, the driving physics feel very realistic and the AI is fairly realistic too. Turns out this game has tons of mods for it, mostly which you can find at Overtake.gg. You can find new cars, tracks, track overhauls, graphics overhauls, and much more. I plan to get into the modding once I'm bored of the vanilla game because there's so many great ones for it. I strongly recommend th…

An all time classic! This is not a 'slicks and aero' type of game, but is great for those that enjoy the various driving styles and challenges of 60/70s racing cars from US muscle to Mini's. Huge variety of expansion options and upgrades, mods and tracks too. A vibrant online racing community/support. Have fun!

GT Legends is a classic racing simulation developed by SimBin Studios AB and published by SimBin, and it remains one of the most respected tributes to historic motorsport ever released on PC. Rather than chasing modern supercars or contemporary championships, the game is firmly rooted in the golden age of GT and touring car racing, focusing on the raw, mechanical era of the 1960s and 1970s. This design choice gives GT Legends a distinctive identity, emphasizing driving skill, vehicle personality, and the inherent danger of racing machines built long before modern safety nets and electronic aids. From the moment you take control of your first car, the game makes it clear that authenticity is its guiding principle. The driving model prioritizes realism, demanding careful throttle application, deliberate braking, and constant respect for weight transfer. Without traction control, ABS, or advanced aerodynamics, every car feels alive and slightly unpredictable, especially under heavy acceleration or corner exit. Lightweight vehicles reward precision and momentum, while heavier muscle cars require restraint and anticipation to keep their power in check. This diversity in handling encour…
