Very grindy roguelike. What it does different than most other similar survivor clones, is a grid-like structure for placing weapons and upgrades. Environments and enemy variety are lacking and the art style isn't very appealing or clear. The main issue is... I just don't have any control over my build or my damage output. The concept is great, the grid system is really cool on paper, but when all you get are random items, it really doesn't matter how you place them next to each other. There is just no planning possible and quite often I got stuck with a bad combination, because everything is luck based. ...and the metaprogression is directly tied to this system, so it feels like the game is artificially extending its gameplay, without providing any mechanical depth to compensate.
Its great
Got stale after my third playthrough. I played about 8 or 9 playthroughs prior to review. The modifiers aren't nearly as robust as I would like them, and classes aren't given enough tools to exploit their strengths. It isn't bad, but there isn't enough to suggest others buy it.
