GunFu Fighter

[i] My Experience [/i] [b]SUPERHOT[/b] was one of my absolute favorite 2016 releases (only bested in my mind by [b]Pony Island[/b]), so I was excited to see what looked like a low-budget clone pop up on the Steam store in 2023. The game made a decent first impression. The enemies weren't red and didn't shatter like crystals when shot, but my bullets did look and feel impactful as blood flew off these black stick figures upon impact. It's fun to bounce back and forth behind walls going "Neo" on these baddies, dodging shots and delivering your own with precision. The game fell apart for me when I reached the first "boss" - a giant, rolling, bulletproof metal ball. The central conceit of these games, that time only moves when you do, is disabled during this fight. I tried the fight a couple of times, attempting to create as much distance as I could between myself and the ball. When enough distance is created, the ball reverts to a spider-like form in which it's vulnerable. However, I could never consistently get the ball to revert forms. Awesome fun satisfying first person shooter

For what the game is and it only being a dollar its half decent, if the dev took time to update the game and put more effort into it, it could definitely be a good game. I would say the only issue im having is the stuttering issue. if you look closely on the second game play video you'll see the stuttering happen in game. in the video it doesnt look terrible but its a lot worse in game, trying to move from head to head with this stutter is pretty hard and makes the game not as fun to play. For a dollar its not bad but i rather pay 5-10 dollars for a more polished working version of this game.

GunFu Fighter is cool and reminds me of SuperHot but it gets stale very quickly. I also didn't like how the game constantly bugged out between levels. If I could get a refund, I would, but oh well. *Just buy SUPERHOT instead; it’s a superior product that's actually polished and has actual real depth. No shade to the devs, but this feels like a project and nothing more

Meh. There is a short stutter when you shoot an enemy. I don't know it this is intentional, but it doesn't feel like it. Nevertheless this ruins the game for me :/ For me the "story elements" at the start where kind of confusing? Also it took me some time to understand how to open the door of the second level as you have to be pretty close to it to interact with it. The game is really well polished and looks really nice, I don't feel like the music matches to well. For a dollar this is totally fine if you like those sort of games give it a try, I didn't reaally enjoy the 20 minutes I played this.
