Guns of Midnight

The game is trying hard to be one of the good run and gun games but it fails miserably. It lacks features that have been in such games forever such as shooting while running, shooting diagonally, rapid fire, double jump, going down platforms by pressing down+jump and perhaps others. It's a dull game and I couldn't get myself to play more of it.

Simple but addictive retro graphics game to die and try again, it will not take you long to finish it and it has an appetizing music, with a discount it may be worth trying.

I liked it, I really did, but it is lacking some quality of life aspects amoung other features that I kind of expect in 2022...like save game functionality. Other missing features - Diagonall shooting (opponents can do it, why can't I) - Run & Gun - Jump down platforms levels I really liked the feel of the game though.

Guns of Midnight nails those sweet retro cyberpunk vibes, with beautiful visuals and an awesome soundtrack. Gameplay is somewhat limited, but fun nonetheless. The main problem here is that the game was just never finished and considering the last update went out a couple of years ago, it probably never will be. And you know what? For $3, I would have still recommended it as is, if the developers removed unfinished mechanics and left the game in a feature-complete state. Instead, we are left with achievements for collecting silver ingots that do not exist in the game.
