About Gunlock
I have been developing games and creating pixel art full time for a little over three years now. I have spent a lot of time studying and trying to perfect "game feel" principles. Gunlock is the first installment in what I have dubbed the "mini series." Gunlock is a small but very polished score chasing game with retro gameboy palette pixelart.

What Steam players say

Gunlock is a challenging arcade-style action platformer with tight controls and engaging reflex-based gameplay that rewards precision and repeated attempts, but the difficulty is extremely punishing with frequent one-hit KOs and runs that reset to the start, making it only suited for players who enjoy hardcore roguelike challenges. Players praise its responsive mechanics, minimalist design, and fun core gameplay loop, though some find the relentless difficulty, lack of progression save points, and obtuse mechanics frustrating enough to turn them away.
Quite a challenging game which will make you play a level over and over in order to complete it, definitely not a game suitable for everyone, specially if you get triggered easily by boss fights (me included)4 found this helpful
Gunlock, developed and published by Aleksandar Kuzmanovic Games, is a fast-paced arcade action platformer that embraces minimalist design and score-driven gameplay. Released in 2017, it positions itself as a distilled reflex challenge rather than a narrative-heavy adventure. Its structure is built around rapid-fire encounters, tight controls, and replayable runs that reward precision and aggression. While modest in scope, the game demonstrates a clear commitment to responsive mechanics and arcade authenticity. The core gameplay loop revolves around clearing stages filled with relentless enemy waves while maintaining mobility and offensive momentum. Players control a nimble protagonist capable of jumping, shooting, and stomping enemies in quick succession. Combat unfolds at a brisk tempo, and one-hit deaths keep tension consistently high. This unforgiving design encourages players to refine movement patterns, memorize enemy spawns, and react instinctively. Each run feels like a short sprint rather than a marathon, making the game well-suited for brief, high-intensity sessions. Weapon variety is one of the game’s defining strengths. A collection of unlockable guns offers different …
Simple but fun game with engaging mechanics
oooh boy is this sh*t game. What is it? kind of a bullet hell roguelike in which has the following characteristics 1- fullscreen only through alt + enter (and the game doesnt even bother with that info 2- you have all the movement you are gonna have from the start, complete with double jumps and wall grabs, jump on head kills and thats because.... 2.1- the game happens in one room at a time, the edges of the map loop with their opposites 2.2- everything is 1 hit KO and back ALL THE WAY TO THE START 2.3- hectic enemy movements (who also loop through the edges) 2.4- you reload by taking ammo (drops) which ALSO changes your weapon 2.5- recoil knockback from your weapon (some of which are rediculous 3-In game currency to buy weapons to improve your run. My experience: no story, no nothing, killed the first boss after getting used to the mess of game it was and the room didnt even change, just more of the same enemies i faced before. I also bought a gun with crazy recoil (remeber, everything is 1 hit KO and all the way back to square one) So who is this game for? you know who the obnoxious masochist gamer, but this time, he also has to be a minimalist and reject the 1…
