Colt Canyon is a 2D pixel art shooter where you control a cowboy, or one of the many other unlockable characters, whose mission is to save his kidnapped partner from the ruthless bandits. Take your gun and TNT and shoot your way through a hostile canyon full of hidden treasures, weapons, obstacles and all kinds of bloodthirsty scum.
Maybe you can save more people than just your partner. But watch out. Once you got your partner your job is not done. You'll also have to get back home...

Got this game for about 2 dollars on Switch. Got it again for even less on PC just to write this review. This game is VERY replayable and quite satisfying, I managed to get 70+ hours of playtime on Switch (around 60 before the game got a bit dry) All this game really needs is more content and variety. Once you 100% the game, all that is left is to hunt for Rare Weapons and unlock all the character loadouts. Still, that kept me going for a very, very long time.1 found this helpful
This has become my second favorite twin stick of all time. I haven't had this much fun sticking a shotgun into a guy's chest since SYNTHETIK. I liked it so much I got 100% in achievements, even got the foil badge, and I never do that. The combat is fantastic, I love how brutal, visceral and satisfying it is to dodge roll while doing an active reload then shooting your bolt action through three bandits. Or making some noise, hiding behind a rock and skewering a idiot, waiting for his buddy to check what happened and doing it again. I wasn't a huge fan of the soundtrack. But as spent time getting further in looped runs, unlocking load outs and learning the art of the back stab, I started come around to it's vibe. Whistle in the Wind being ending up being my favorite, I dig it's lonesome solemn feel. It's also fully dynamic, changing when you've been spotted. The perks are few and not very powerful overall and you don't need a single one to clear. I enjoy the focus on raw dodging and shooting, not depending on whether or not I find this or that upgrade. What's much more important is your gun choice and how well you shoot. Many weapons pierce or have a spread that lets you kill multi…
It is a very fast-paced top down shooter with a LOT of weapon that are often unique designed. The coop is also very good but it can get messy during a fight.
Just simply a good 2D adventure. Environments don't change much but the gunplay and challenge make up for it.
