Halls of Watershot

Woohoo! Certainly one of the more... "Relaxing" kind of Rpgs. Loved it. Needed something like this. It's calm and peaceful and sure, everything is randomized... But it was fun. :p I just wish I knew how to get the Final Achievement: Where you destroy the Amulet. After doing it all, it says "there is more to do", however, I can't go anywhere... So I gots no idea what I did wrong. :i Otherwise it was worth it for me. I will definitely play with other spells some time... Okay, strap in, because Halls of Watershot from Willis Studios had me feeling all sorts of perplexed. This action RPG dungeon crawler deckbuilding concoction left me scratching my head in a not-so-great way. Unfortunately, this one isn't getting a resounding recommendation from me, and here's why. Let's dive into the gameplay, or should I say, let's stumble through it? Halls of Watershot tries to juggle action RPG elements, dungeon crawling, and deckbuilding, but the execution left me feeling lost. The blending of these ideas lacked the finesse I expected, resulting in a mishmash of mechanics that felt more confusing than engaging. It's like they threw everything into the pot without a recipe and hoped for the best. The deckbuilding aspect, usually a thrilling part of a game, left me with a sense of frustration. The cards felt uninspired, and the choices seemed more about luck than strategy. Building a deck is supposed to be a strategic dance, but here it felt more like randomly picking cards and hoping for the best in battles. It didn't hit that sweet spot of challenge and reward that makes deckbuilding games shine. Visually, Halls of Watershot left me underwhelmed. The graphic…

A good game potential here, lets hope that they follow through. Because at the moment it is very bear boned with little variety both with enemies and stages from what iv'e seen, but saying that the core idea of the game is good, and I have an inherent weakness for isometric games. I am super late to this review. I did receive this for free from, I believe Keymailer. However, I can not give a false recommendation. The game is basically boring. I loved the visuals and the mechanics were solid, but the overall experience was slow, plodding, and very little excitement to keep me enthralled. Play the demo, at the very least. It may be what you like, but don't dive in blind.

I recommend at least one playthrough of this game for any arpg lover. Especially at the $3 holiday sale. I hope the game gets an update to fix some minor annoyances or maybe some added dlc. Itemization is pretty cool and the spell system is pretty unique. Dev is a humble and receptive arpg lover.

Halls Of Watershot's list of credits consist of 2 names. One of which is listed for the musical score solely. This game performed excellent on my Nvidia 1660S on max settings, as well as performing similarly well on economy setting using my Notebook with only 1GB of Vram and 4GB of ddr ram. While it performed excellent, the graphics were able to flourish to their full potential; assets you would expect to see over and over such as fireballs and boulders are rich in detail and really feel as though they are a part of the world in how they are created, and how they make impact against enemies/dynamic physics objects placed around the world. There is something to be said about being chased by a small army, just to see the hoard inadvertently scoop up all the standing light posts that line the path, leaving a blackout of chaos and destruction at their feet, As player becomes overwhelmed, hunted, and chased into one of the many diverse labyrinths, they will be able to experience a fresh breath of varying a…
