Hangin' Off!

Absolutely phenomenal game! The controls are just spot on, perfect on a pad using the analogue stick and I can't fault them at all. Blasting through the long sweepers with your head just clear of the trees trying to balance just enough to hold your line and keep the turbo spinning without losing speed or time is fantastically enjoyable, and when you screw up it really is a clenching argh moment and you know it's totally your fault and nothing wrong with the game, which is pretty rare now. I like being on mostly equal terms with the AI riders - they barge you but you can barge back without always coming off worse, a few times I sent them into the scenery and a few times they did the same back, but it was never annoying , occasionally being punted wide onto the pavement behind the trees and trying to survive along that narrow path before being able to rejoin safely, all while at top speed - great stuff. The rollercoaster effect is really good too, I love the overall graphic style, speed and smoothness. Legitimately one of my favorite arcade racing games of all time. It’s EA so it’s understandably short on content but what is here is incredible. I can’t wait to see what this turns into

All I have to say is...WOW. What a technical marvel! This is what it would look like if super scaler technology continued instead of 3D becoming the next big thing. Thousands of sprites on screen going by at the speed of sound, with everything well done, colorful, and carefully rendered. But that's just the graphics. What really makes this game stand out is the control. Dare I say, this is BETTER than the source material it's trying to emulate. It feels amazing to lean on this bike, and how he did the cockpit of the bike really sells off the effect. I can't express how much I'm in love with it. I played the demo to death to the point I almost beat it despite the fact I'm pretty sure it's on the hardest difficulty. I just beat Beginner and Intermediate tonight. There's a race section that I tried and if I had to be honest with you, wasn't my favorite. Catching up to rivals seemed like a chore and they always seemed to be able to power through turns at speeds I couldn't. The meat and potatoes is in the arcade mode. OMFG! YES! I absolutely LOVE classic arcade racers. This one caught my eye and gave me nostalgia for the old "Road Rash" games on Sega Genesis. What I got was SO MUCH BETTER!!! I got a mix of Moto Racer's First person view, mixed with old SEGA arcade Racers like Rad Mobile and Outrun. I haven't experienced a good high speed, arcade style racer since Xtreme G 3 for the PS2 and this game just scratched that very niche itch. OH BABY! For an Early Access game, I'm impressed. The five available game modes at this time are: - Arcade = "Outrun" Style Race where you try to outpace the time limit - Grand Tour = race against 29 rivals almost similar to "Pole Position" - Single Race - Against Music = Race against a music track on a specific course - Cruising = Cruise around each track to for as long as you like. (can be changed into a survival mode to see how long you can last before your bike breaks down.) This is an amazing game and I can't recommend it enough. I'm so looking forward to future updates!

The gameplay is quality retro stuff, no messing, if you liked Hang On you'll love this. But the best thing this dev did is this: Soundtrack composed by Benjamin Shielden... the soundtrack is quality.
