A nice retro arcade racer. The gameplay itself, the controls, the graphics, and the soundtrack are all really well done. It just feels good. Another great feature: You can adjust the difficulty by giving yourself more time at the checkpoints. The content is still very limited at the moment, and the final scope doesn't seem much larger. But since the goal is to perfect the tracks, I suppose that's part of the deal; still, I'm curious to see just how extensive the announced championship mode will be.2 found this helpful
Wow, this was a real surprise, a throwback to arcade classics that many of us grew up with. The demo is just a taste of the gameplay at the hardest difficulty, purchase the early release and you will see it has progressed far more with more tracks and modes as well as adjustable difficulty levels. The sensation of speed is great with smooth high framerates, the controls are superbly tight providing growing confidence with each turn. The sound effects from superbikes are good, but becomes excellent with a great turbo whistle sound when activated over 260Kph. This gives a rollercoaser effect on your heart rate of having to slow down for sections then build up to 260Kph and hit that turbo and wanting more. The Music by Benjamin Shielden is suberb, more please. Track 06 Open Road Battle is the best followed by 07 Road Burner Thus far its is a truly great project taking shape niceley, keep up the great work. This is the type of project I like to support, I wish you all the greatest of success.1 found this helpful
I see the vision. Hangin' Off is one of the coolest games to cross my radar this year. As a motohead, how can I not love it? Perfect retro graphics and beats to race endlessly. Problem is the game freezes on me quite often (around 20% of the time on Steam Deck). It's happened on all three single race tracks, with the desert being so bad I can't finish the first lap. I have sky high hopes for this one, even if it's still rough around the edges in EA.
Game is sick, a great arcade racer that feels good to play.
Super cool concept and love seeing the DEV care about it so much would love to see what comes of this. This genre is overlooked
Maybe the best f'n arcade racer I've ever f'n played. Get it.
