About Haunted Hotel: Stay in the Light
Haunted Hotel: Stay in the Light
You have just been hired at Haunted Hotel, but on your first day of work you discover that the Hotel is haunted has some quirks.
Some dark force is killing the guests staying in the dark. Using the hotel's security system your job is to protect guests and stay alive for three nights by controlling the hotel's lights.
Lights are your only weapon to save the guests and yourself. Take care the lights did not last all night, so ration the energy and good luck!
Strategy
Develop a strategy for using electricity wisely, as it will not last all night with all rooms lit.
Terror
Death is prowling the Hotel, but no one can see it. Go into each room and scan the room if death is in the scanned room it will appear. Turn on the light immediately to expel it from the room and it will return to the hallway.
Shop
At each end of the night you will earn money from the "daily rate" for every living survivor. Use this money to make improvements to your security system

Welcome to Haunted Hotel: Stay in the Light, another Five Nights at Freddy's clone that doesn't manage to hold a candle anywhere near the game that it attempts to emulate. The game itself doesn't really rely on any scares, either; it's just pure "strategy", if you can even call it that, while trying to avoid Death as much as possible. The basic premise here is that you have to keep Death at bay for all eight of your hotel guests and yourself. You check each of their rooms, scan them to see if Death is present. If he is, you turn their light on and off to keep him at bay, and if he isn't you press on to the next room. There's also a hall camera, but it seems to do nothing; it will show Death, and illuminate room numbers, but when you go there he is not in the indicated rooms. You can't leave the lights on for long, otherwise your power depletes too quickly. Once the power is gone or all of your guests are dead, it's game over. That leaves us with just how nonsensical Haunted Hotel: Stay in the Light is. In FNAF if you observe certain cameras, you can usually tell where the enemies are going to go next. With this game, however, the only camera that is supposed to do that for you, d…14 found this helpful
Completely baffled. I'm gonna put this as simply as I can: Five Nights at Freddy's was by-and-largely successful because it started out easy on the player, and provided a clear tutorial. This game does neither. The ten-odd times I tried to get through the first night I attempted a myriad of "strategies", and completely failed to confirm a single one as viable. My progress towards that ever-elusive 6am goal wasn't gradual; it was all over the shop. I even appeared to scrape it to 6am once, and still managed to "fail". Then proceeded to not even make it to 4am on the next couple of attempts. The premise is this (and prepare yourself, 'cause it's an even sillier one than FNAF)! You have eight hotel rooms (and one hall) to monitor, via security cameras. Each room has a guest staying in it; all of whom spend the entire night pacing the floor and sleeping not a wink, until Death turns up to methodically scythe them one by one. Like FNAF, it's all about conserving power, so while turning a room's light on will keep Death away and/or dispel him temporarily to the hall, you can't just have all the lights burning away at once. Sounds simple enough, eh? Except that it …13 found this helpful
Review copy provided by developer via Curator Connect It’s always interesting to witness the birth of a genre like survive the night games. Five Nights at Freddie’s not only ushered in a new wave of tense management sims, but also iterated heavily on the formula with its own sequels. That’s what makes titles like Haunted Hotel here so disappointing, that if anything they’re steps back from the games that spawned them. In this grim-ass hotel, a ghost (it’s really just the grim reaper) is going around murdering guests, and you have to keep as many alive as possible from midnight to 6 am. There are eight guest rooms, your room, and the hallway, and you eject the ghost from any of them by turning on the light. Simple, right? I mean, it pretty much is, and three nights of that doesn’t amount to much. You of course have limited power to keep the lights on, so you have to use a scanner in each room to see if the ghost is even there. If you’re looking at the hallway, several rooms get marked to check when the ghost vanishes. That saves you the trouble of checking every room, but there’s no foolproof way to keep people from eating it. Also, you lose a huge chunk of power eve…10 found this helpful
NO IDEA ABOUT THIS ONE7 found this helpful
Haunted Hotel: Stay in the Light is a low effort ripoff of Five Nights at Freddies, except it's a hotel and ghosts that you're platespinning your cameras for. Detect a ghost, turn on the light to frighten them, turn off the light to conserve power, well, everyone should know what FNAF is all about. This is much, much worse. Let's go into the rather long list of serious problems with this shovelware. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features somewhat lazy, simplistic 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game tha…2 found this helpful
I'm glad I only wasted $0.59.
