Night of the Extinct

Night of the Extinct is a really fun little horror game that caught me off guard with how much personality it has. I play as Elliot, a paranormal content creator who decides to spend the night inside an allegedly haunted museum, and naturally things become much worse once the exhibits stop being harmless displays. I liked the setup because it gives the game a good excuse to mix creepy exploration with some surprisingly funny moments. The main gameplay is focused on exploring the museum, completing security checks and figuring out how to move through the building without getting killed. I enjoyed the physical interactions because some of the tasks are more hands on than I expected. I am not just walking from one objective to another. I have to actually interact with the environment, pay attention to what is around me and work out how to get through certain areas. The museum itself is probably my favorite part of the experience. I liked being able to walk around and read descriptions of the exhibits because it gives the location more personality before the horror fully takes over. I liked the feel and the idea of it was great, I thought I would have really enjoyed this game, and i did mostly, if it wasnt for the collisions and grabbing. Ive had to restart multiple times due to the props getting sucked out of the map or just no clipping. I know this is a free game and very early in release, and currently its dead but if its revived and this problem is fixed or atleast not as bad, id be happy to replay.

Eehhh... Yeah. No. I know it's a free game and I do kinda feel bad about it, but I do think "free" doesn't always equal "good". Artstyle and models of the characters are nice, I specially love Kiona's design. But the game itself feels more like a pilot or a demo than, at the very least, a somewhat more complete game. I’ll say it again: I know it’s free, but it really only has four or five levels that you can breeze through quickly. This is another game trying to jump on the "mascot horror" bandwagon; it could have potential if done right, but it feels rushed, and the overall concept is largely squandered. The "puzzles" are basically child's play: put boxes on pressure plates and... that's it. Then there's the famous stealth mission, which is simply bad. Kiona spots you sometimes even when you're hidden. There are spots where you're supposed to be fully concealed, but Kiona walks up, clips through the scenery, and sees you anyway, making it impossible to get away from her. the ai is worthless garbage, its like a desperate clone trying to hop on the mascot horror train but it doesnt even function properly, the jumpscares are lame, the atmosphere is ♥♥♥♥, the tasks dont make sense, i cant be bothered to play the rest of it

You obviously just released this free so you didn't have to bother playtesting it yourselves. I mean, the AI is absolute crap the moment you walk into the first room, so I am assuming you didn't touch the game yourselves the moment you released it, right?
