Chills and stealthy thrills abound In Haunted House, a reimagining of the classic Atari adventure! Players take control of Lyn Graves, the precocious niece of legendary treasure hunter Zachary Graves. Lyn visits her uncle’s mansion with her closest compatriots, only to find the house overrun with ghouls and monsters who quickly grab and spirit away her friends. In order to free her uncle and her friends, and capture all the supernatural foes, Lyn must find the shattered pieces of a magical urn and put them back together.
Through procedurally generated room layouts, shifting walls, unpredictable enemy placements, and unique ghostly encounters, Lyn must creep, sneak, and dash her way through hordes of ghouls and eerie ectoplasms in order to locate her friends and uncle. Each urn shard is fiercely guarded by a bone-chilling boss — with 3D isometric stealth gameplay, Lyn must think on her feet to conquer each challenge. When she gets knocked out by a shadowy specter, she winds up back at the Haunted House’s entrance and must face an entirely new floor layout and enemy placement, ensuring each run is unique.

🏮 Liked it, but can't recommend. For such a small game, there are too many bugs. You can fully complete it in ~4h at most, the rest is a random grind. Bugs with hitboxes and animations (damage to you or enemies can be triggered at a distance), softlocks (stuck in walls, disappearing doors), incorrect cutscenes pauses for the environment, the interface and lighting can glitch. Moreover, if you play for more than 2h, it gradually turns into a lag fest, starting slightly and gradually turning into unplayable. They didn't test it at all! It's really sad, because despite the obvious low-budget, the gameplay potential is good and exciting, but it's overpriced, because the game is too short (for the genre) and the port is just awful.13 found this helpful
Here we go with the classic line... I don't really understand ANY of the negative comments. What's not to like (maybe Love?). It's a reimagining port of the classic Atari 2600 cozy Haunted House game. But with updated everything! It's got a TON of content, varied enemies, different rooms and goals to discover, objects to use, stores to buy items from and special rooms with special bonuses or characters - plus some neat easter eggs. If I had to cry about something, some of the combat is frustrating because you get stuck against objects some of the time and some of the gameplay gets repeatitive and lastly that it's too difficult at times. You should DEFINITELY get more money to spend on helpful objects at the stores without having to work so long or hard. But otherwise it's an excellent game and without a question more than worth the money for the amount of time, gameplay and fun experience you get!!! Very highly recommended!6 found this helpful

Nice roguelike reimagining of the Atari game that's arguably the first "survival horror" game. Not too scary or creepy by today's standards ofc, it's more of an adventure/stealth kinda thing, but a fun game nonethelss (if you're into roguelikes, that is). There's also a "scavenger hunt" side quest where you'll have to collect Atari games hah.2 found this helpful

I really, REALLY, wanted to like this. I mean that, and my hours prove it. But, bug, after bug, I just don't know. I like what they're trying to do, really. But first a bug where I was grabbed while getting a key, to a bug where I took damage repeatedly due to a "redlight, greenlight" mechanic. It....it just hurts. If you're an Atari fan or someone with a tolerance for jank, go for it. If you can't handle glitches, stay away! I care enough I want to get all the achievements, but I don't think if I can recommend. Pray for fan patches folks....1 found this helpful
