Hauntmates is a cooperative horror investigation game. You need to communicate and work together to survive. The longer you stay inside, the harder it gets because more monsters will start to spawn across the map. If you die, you fail the contract and lose all your gear and payout.Key Features
- 4 Player Multiplayer: Play with your friends or try to survive alone.
- Proximity Voice Chat: Stick together and talk because nobody will hear you if you wander off too far.
- Randomly Generated Maps: The terrain changes every time you play, so you cannot rely on memory.
- Shared Investigation Board: Log your gathered evidence and select the final name together on one synchronized board.
- Unique Monsters: Face several different monsters with specific behaviors and weaknesses.
- Investigation Gear: Use thermometers, flashlights, and many more to find the active zone and gather evidence.
- High Stakes Economy: Push your luck for extra side objectives. If you die before reaching the extraction point, you lose your gear and leave with nothing.

Good concept, but very bad game. I don't recommend.6 found this helpful
For the most part its a good game, however some parts are extremely unbalanced. Especially the concept for the mimic, in thought its really cool however when it completely disregards the "mimic" aspect and just aggros onto you immediately and kills you its a little annoying. Instead of being sneaky the mimic is literally just prime king von. Also on the bunker map they can just sit at the exit and force you to get close to them so they can just kill you. This needs to be fixed. One other thing is the items to unlock basic evidence should not be locked behind requiring a certain amount of levels. Finally the amount of money that is used to purchase stuff in the game is too much, the price of items compared to the amount of money gotten from identifying the ghost and completing the side objectives is not a good ratio. Other than those fixes its a fun game to play for a week or so.4 found this helpful
I got a free key from Ca1am1ty stream. Recommendations for the devs: -Make the weapons stronger. -Reduce the volume of some sfx, like rain, fireflies, etc. -Make the mimic's running speed slower and don't make it aggro instantly. -More player slots. -More ways to interact with your friends, like dragging and pushing for example -Make the flashlight serve a purpose.3 found this helpful
The games is fun but for the love of God please fix how the mimic functions, its a cool idea but it just camps the exit on bunker and doesn't even give you warning that its a mimic 90% of the time. Like I swear I have died to it so many times and it made ZERO noise at all. And the way the photo mechanic works for objectives is just bad. I should not have to agro an enemy and basically kill myself every time i have that objective. Also I don't think that items that are used to identify the Ghost type should be unlocked by leveling up, you should just have them all unlocked and I think items are too expensive and should cost less or you should get more money from completing a run.3 found this helpful
