The choice is yours.” Heart of Dungeon is a type of visual novel and has no gameplay to it so one that would rely heavily on its story and art in order to provide something worth the player’s time to check out and play. As a visual novel this has some degree of choice for progression that is given to the player. The art is good but I'm not really a fan of the gameplay. I've never really cared for games that are this random and there's no real gameplay either. The only other good thing I can say about this game, is that, while I have no idea if this will work on the Steam deck, this game did work with Proton in Linux Mint, if there is anyone that wants to know that.

It's basically like a "choose your own adventure" type Visual Novel. No HP, MP, or battles as such. Just random decisions that have unforseen outcomes. I feel like the author must have put a pretty good amount of work into it. I've seen at least 10 outcomes so far without repetition, but there's no way for me to know how many there in total. My first two tries ended in game over. Right now she has lost all of her gear and is wandering naked through the dungeon. (No objections here :-]) For the price, it's quality entertainment. Just make sure you have the appropriate expectations, and you're not expecting a "game" in the sense of the kinds of games you might play on a PS4 or something. It is at most a VN.
