same as before but with a little more of everything. again. nothing wrong with that though. as usual the difficulty level is at zero but it's still fun and keeps you busy on a rainy day or two. finishing, 100%ing and seeing all the game has to offer took 3 1/2 hours. for less than 2 bucks during sale you really can't complain. in case you are new to [i]the hero of the kingdom[/i] games: starting with the very first game of the series would make sense but it's not strictly necessary. back to my review of [i]Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2[/i]: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Meister_Leuchte/recommended/1784780/4 found this helpful
Hero of the Kindom 1,2,and 3 were all better in their content and challenges than the following three each getting poorer in content and challenges, the challenges becoming a repeat on earlier games, if they intend a 7th in the series it needs more depth and bigger map locations to be a patch on the first three.2 found this helpful
I enjoyed it but still find that the Lost Tales series is way too short, it took me under 4h to complete and a lot of that was uselessly mucking about to turn resources and money into other resources, into yet other resources... It's worth it at a discount though! Edited to add: as others have pointed out, there's also lots of fetch quests but this time I felt like a lot more of them were simultaneous and it was harder to keep track of what needed prioritizing. Also what could/not be sold and would be needed later....1 found this helpful
Absolutely love this series of games. Part RPG, part seek and find, and just something very simply addictive to it. Cannot wait for the next one!
Perfect as usual.
Hero of the Kingdom rarely disappoints, and this was yet another fun entry. The story is cute, but a bit straightforward and short. The manure mechanic for earning money also gets a bit repetitive after a while, but other than that, it’s a really enjoyable game. 7.5/10 – HotK delivers the same standard it has for years. It’s a bit short, and completing everything in 3,8h at full price is a bit meh.
