Hex: Becoming a Succubus

Quick disclaimer : this is still in early access, some of the implemented things can still be rough but the best has yet to come and is on its way. For what's currently already there, you could sink easily a dozen hours depending on what gamestyle you play as, and how much of the dialogues you read, I've already sunk in 4+ hours and I'm nowhere close to finishing what the game has to offer now (I blame my achievement hunting tendency). The combat mode visuals remind me of skyrim characters casting a spell or holding a weapon with the arms very stretched out. There are a few synergies to use to make it more fun to play around with DoTs, Buffs and Debuffs (stacking DoTs and perfect parrying is a decently strong strategy). Now what you really want to know, "what about the visuals" ? You didn't all come here for the plot, but I'll say it's not bad, and having two souls in one body is an underused concept in h-games, and it's better than the good old succubus brand/curse turning your brain into a puddle and your body in a water fountain. The premise of the game is fairly simple: a succubus takes your body (female), sentencing you to watch how she uses it to have some [b] fun [/b]. The concept of the game revolves around the many ways of corrupting the poor soul that still clings to its host, by degrading her persona in the physical world. There are a LOT of choices to recover [b] mana [/b], all of them with their respective scenes, which is very appreciated since you'll have to fight a lot. Pros: [list] [*] Complex fight system with a lot of hand drawn scenes. [*] A true RPG with many lewd traits that can be used in fights, which makes combat sexy and fun. [*] Wearing an outfit changes the dialogue, giving them purpose. really love that. Same with items. [/list] Cons: [list] [*] Too much text sometimes, especially at the beginning. [*] The parry mechanic feels a bit laggy. [/list]

The game is fun, the h-scenes are few as of this point and repeatable(unless I've missed something important). I did find the game a bit too easy but its fun so it doesn't matter too much. I would recommend it on sale and to support its development! I think this will be a good game.

While I still have a lot of game to play and its in early access so the game is likely to change and expand, at present I'd recommend this one -- good story, touching characters, interesting game play (be it combat, adult, or otherwise) . . . honestly, its been a lot better than I had expected. Can never say for sure with early access games, but at present I'd give it an easy 3.5 out of 5 spiritual possessions.

Been following since early development with a lot more hours into the browser version. Really happy it finally got a steam release. Really high quality eroge made with a lot of passion and love. Highly recommend.
