About Hidden Expedition: Dawn of Prosperity Collector's Edition

Big Fish Editor's Choice! This title was chosen for its high standard of quality and amazingly positive reviews from our Game Club beta testers.

Eipix Entertainment proudly presents the continuation of the popular Hidden Expedition series!

Hello, Agent! We have another strange case for you. We've detected an unusual signal coming from the vicinity of an old weather station. Strange quakes have been detected there, though the area isn't an active earthquake zone. The nearby observatory is also showing signs of activity after years of being abandoned. We suspect something big – and possibly sinister – is happening there. Track down the signal and find out the truth!

Play interactive, list, picture, and morphing scenes as you solve a mountaintop mystery in this exciting Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game! See what our Beta testers had to say:
“Best in the series so far. I was disappointed when the trial ended. Very intrigued with where the elevator ended up. Will definitely buy to see what comes next.” - Sela, Beta Tester
“I really like the different types of HOs and puzzles. Not too easy and not too hard. The story line is very intriguing.” - Christian, Beta Tester

Sneak your way into a strange research facility and discover the origin of mysterious tremors. Uncover a plot to send humanity back to the Stone Age. Find a missing girl. As an agent of HELP (I still question this choice of acronym), you can do anything and everything with the help - er, assistance - of your courage and ingenuity. As long as you don't mind a "retro" sci-fi / secret agent plot that feels more like the 60s than the 90s, this is a fun HOPA game with lots to do in the way of HO scenes and puzzles. Not the best out there, but entertaining nonetheless. Pros: - variety of HO scenes - ability to return for missing collectibles and achievements via Extras - most of the voice acting is quite good (if I were a girl in a car about to be squished, I'd be more scared, but that's me...) - variety of puzzles (mostly on easier side, but some challenges) - fully interactive map - customizable difficulty Cons: - no particular cons, but I didn't love the game (although some of the toys provided a real trip down memory lane!) - why are so many genius scientists embittered megalomaniacs? Overall: It's a moderately good game in a moderately good series. I prefer other Eipix games…

Overall I enjoyed it, interesting storyline and nice artwork. I'd prefer more HOPs and some of the puzzles were quite difficult (and one of them just wouldn't work for me, the bit with the drone and trying to hook the gate pins).
A solid package but search scenes are a mixed bag
Continuing my little stint chipping away at my backlog, the random difficulty I chose here was casual. It turns out this was a good choice as even though it is a decent game packed with the usual story, bonus story and various extras, it can seem like it is trying too hard to give you every feature and type of search game that was ever invented. I'm pretty sure at least one mini-puzzle has an interruption game... Inception anyone? I'm not going to mention the story, but it's a standard 'go and do this' at a 'site' and 'save the day' plot. This one sees us go to a groovy underground village, that has trees and parks even though its all rocks up above. Amazing how a game can just gloss over the details of 'how' like that. Thankfully there is only one annoying animal in this one, and it isn't a main feature (except for a load screen maybe). The art is pretty good - nice variety of scenes, colours, angles and depth perception mostly ok... but it does have a touch of facepalm too - swinging objects you can click to make them swing a bit more, clock faces you can click on to mess with the time of day, that sort of thing. Even …

5* Thoroughly enjoyed this game. As is usual from Eipix, highly creative, if not as jokesy as some. , with loads of extras. Good story-line with appropriate music throughout. Perfect balance between interesting HOPs and challenging but doable puzzles. Pleased to say I got all the achievements. Don't worry if you miss a collectable, (the guide is out of order) you can get that at the end along with morphing objects in the HOPs. Thoroughly recommend

Dawn of Prosperity is part of the Hidden Expedition series, HO Adventure Games. Well written, engaging story, clear graphics, & likable characters. The game includes enough but not too many HO scenes, as well as puzzles, & mini games. It has an interactive map and hint/skip button. It has a unique-to-this-series gadget you interact with to receive & review messages and collected info cards.
