✦ AI summary
Players have nostalgic affection for this hidden object puzzle adventure game and appreciate its story, but it's plagued by technical issues including black screen problems on Windows 10, lack of fullscreen options, and game-breaking bugs that corrupt save files. Critics also cite poor puzzle design, tedious backtracking, anachronistic items, overly sensitive click zones, and annoying sound design as significant drawbacks that undermine the experience.

Its a nostalgic game for me. Im enjoying replaying it 10 years later. I wish there was an option of a full screen though.
Can't even start to play it on Windows10. Sound is there, but all I see is black screen, even in Options menu. Looks like this particular dimension is a bit too dark!
Really great game and till your 2 hours in and get an error message that takes you back to the beginning of the game but you cannot carry on playing as you still have items in your inventory from further into the game. so disappointing.
I played this part way (the free version) on IOS when I was really little and I enjoyed it so much. Since then it's been basically my roman empire. I enjoyed this thoroughly, and even though some of the graphics and stuff are outdated (I had to play in window mode the whole time) It's still an enjoyable story and I think it holds up okay.
An absolutely atrocious game; one of the worst examples of the genre I have ever played. There are certain problems that often occur in HOPAs, and this game has them all. Anachronistic items, mislabelled items, poor translations, overly picky click zones, nonsense puzzles, long and tedious backtracking without a fast travel; you name it, Dark Dimensions is guilty of it. Add to that the fact that there are no resolution options, so the game screen is either a tiny window that you can barely see anything in or a stretched mess that pushes windows off your second screen. Also, the game has a constant barrage of 'spooky' sounds that are actually just very annoying and in no way scary that simply add to the many frustrations that cripple any enjoyment of the game. This is an easy skip; there are much better HOPAs for the same or less money.
