Hidden Islands is a Unity asset flip from repeat offenders at Hede. Hede shows a repeat pattern of dumping Unity assets and minimum viable products on Steam as a cash grab, trying to scam people into paying them for the work of others. Treating PC gamers like this, scamming gamers, simply isn't acceptable. This is a direct 1:1 asset flip of their other abandoned Early Access game, Hidden Ghost Town, the only difference is they changed the raster background image. If that doesn't directly tell us this is a scam, I don't know what will. This one is abandoned early access, it's incomplete, but Hede realise they can just dump incomplete asset flips on Steam and still get paid, mostly by dumping this into cheap shovelware bundles (as if this was a complete game, another deception), to extract as much money as possible from something that barely counts as a game, and isn't even finished. Pretending this garbage is an actual game, it's an ultra bare bones "hidden object" game where you're presented with a static image, you scroll around, and see the target object and click on it. That's it. Less interactive than a web page. And the footprint is over 10GB! Why? Because Hede are also t…34 found this helpful
Controls are poor, you have to use WASD to move as the mouse moving is clunky. The zoom controls are unreliable and you cannot scroll with the mouse wheel. Only one map, *very* short game to find 20 objects, and the scoring rules are not clear.17 found this helpful
I had hope that a change of graphical format, which up to now has been predictably formulaic from Hede Games, but alas that was not to be. Same Game house same predictably serial errors, glitches and bugs. I like getting new indie games but sadly l think from now on, if I see that the devs are Hede Games I will give the game a wide berth. These developers habitually churn out games month after month on the steam platform at ridiculous prices with the sole intention of grabbing any money they can but with little regard to fixing the games issues. I have never seen a more dysfunctional greedy game house with so little regard for the players' When you pay £7.19 for a HOG even in early access you sort of expect the basics of find item (amount), add to score to be sorted reasonably well at this point. However as with all the HOG Hede games the came counts badly, has no explanation of how the scoring works, regurgitates the same tired unity assets onto a different background, has a major cut to blank screen issue which I have taken a screen shot of and simply ignores all the negative comments from the players. Even the controls alone need to be refined as using the mouse wheel is a …14 found this helpful

Hidden Islands, developed by Hede and HEDE Game Engine and published by Hede, is a casual hidden-object puzzle game that revolves around a simple but familiar premise: examining a detailed environment and locating objects carefully concealed within the scenery. The game belongs to a category of minimalist search-and-find experiences that emphasize observation and patience rather than storytelling or complex puzzle mechanics. Set within a colorful island landscape, Hidden Islands invites players to carefully scan a single large map filled with structures, terrain features, and decorative details while searching for items that blend into the surroundings. The core gameplay follows a straightforward hidden-object formula. Players are presented with a detailed island scene and must locate a series of specific objects scattered throughout the environment. Each item is placed somewhere within the landscape, sometimes visible at a glance and other times cleverly disguised among other visual elements. To collect an object, players simply click on it with the mouse once they identify its location. This simple interaction forms the foundation of the entire experience, as players repeat the …2 found this helpful
