About Hive Jump 2: Survivors

Hive Jump 2: Survivors is a sci-fi, action-packed, bullet heaven roguelike. After a squad of intrepid jetpack Jumpers are decimated in an intergalactic ambush, a lone survivor sets out for vengeance while fending off endless waves of killer insects. Play as different Jumpers for unique builds and abilities. Collect amber and alien goo as precious resources to earn upgrades and mow down the hordes however you see fit. Your secret weapon? Jetpacks! Strap in, dodge incoming hordes, maneuver around obstacles, and fry the enemies below - one gory run at a time!

Fight through four unique biomes: Crystal Caverns, Frozen Tundra, and the recently added Volcanic Wasteland, and the upcoming Mushroom Forest on September 10th.

With 19 Jumpers to choose from each with their own stats, weapons, and abilities play the way you want and customize each run.

Key Features
  • Jumping Jetpacks - Utilize your jetpack to dodge enemies and traverse the environment and of course damage enemies!
  • Auto and Manual Aiming - Auto-fire at enemies to focus on movement, or take aim to better control the chaos.
  • Multiple Jumpers, Multiple Ways to Kill - With multiple options, each Jumper has distinct stats that impact speed, rate of fire, health, and more.
  • Customize Your Jumper - Earn weapons, upgrades, and augments, like automatic enemy targeting and increased health reserves, to create the ultimate soldier.
  • HSA Store - Convert your enemies’ guts into currency, exchanging “goo” for weapons, utilities, and relics of varying rarity. Snag precious Amber to boost builds with permanent upgrades.
  • Permanent Upgrades - Unlock permanent abilities to give your Jumper an advantage from the start of every run.

NOPE. Getting a refund since it's not even worth the tree-fiddy if I won't ever play it again. I'm generally not a fan of survivor-likes, but e.g. Halls of Torment is fun. This game is not. • Where is the epic Doom music from the trailer?!? The game just has an electronic soundtrack that's baiscally 1 repeating melody which gets annoying after 10 minutes. • slooow movement • slooow meta progression • no really interesting upgrades and pick-ups • Hives and elite enemies are ultra bullet sponges – during my first run, it felt like I was kiting the Crusher for an hour to finish the run without getting any meaningful upgrades while doing so.

No footsteps, only jetpack.

As of right now, this game is missing a lot of features that were present in the previous game, such as 4-player squads and a more simplified menu system. I do NOT recommend playing this game until multiplayer has been added.

a good game (not a great game) with a really cool aesthetic and the unusual yet refreshing inclusion of a "jetpack" game mechanic. its definitely not grabbing the way i wanted it too but i'll give it another hour or two to gets it hooks into me and then update this review. as it stands, its worth its asking price. the biggest drawback of the game is that the primary currency (utilized for permanent upgrades) is hard/slow to come by thus rendering the game more about the grind for hunting currency rather than the (more acceptable and expected) grind of exterminating bugs. update: attempted a few more runs - the game just isn't fun or rewarding enough to keep me engaged. i just can't justify the money/time for it. perhaps if i was significantly more skilled and there werent similar options that were more fulfilling for me as a gamer, i'd be willing to devote more time. however, with steam's refund policies the way they are - one only has 2 hours or less to make the choice whether or not to keep a game...and this is a no go for me. its disappointing in that all of the ingredients for a great game are here - they just weren't implemented correctly. 6\10. its not a bad game b…
