Hot Lap League: Deluxe Edition

[h1] This is not a Track Mania type game. [/h1] Hot Lap League is the skeleton of something that could be great but without any of the true aspects to push it beyond that limit, leaving just hollow disappointment. At it's barest bones, it is nothing more that a time trial grind game that has been frequently compare to games like Track Mania. Mechanically, driving feels excellent, consistent, and perfectly deterministic. The same inputs in will always result in the same racing line. The track's assembly system on the front end has no geometry issues and every track has an optimal line. You can have fun racing through every track and pushing your time higher, honing your skill, but after that, there's nothing left. This game constantly and wrongly gets compared to the Track Mania series, specifically the Nations games (ESWC and Nations Forever) but those games had one thing this game sorely lacks and such a huge missed opportunity of wasted potential: [B] A track editor [/b] The track editors of Track Mania are what MADE those games such long mainstays, fostering communities of creatives to create the most depth defying, roller coaster-ing, technical, and spectacular tracks of any …

There's not a lot of vehicles available, the cosmetics for those vehicles are something of a drag to unlock and, in all honesty, the tracks/arenas don't have a great deal of visual diversity to them, but none of that takes away from the fact that, for the price, the core gameplay is good enough to warrant a positive review: The controls, mechanics, and physics are all sound, the graphics are solid, and the gameplay loop of trying to shave a few more milliseconds off of your last posted time is compelling.

Completed on mobile It's such an underrated Trackmania clone! Fun physics and flow even if the tracks could have been a bit crazier Unfortunately there's no track editor or steam workshop

Very fun and competitive and affordable time trial base racing game .No pay to win, raw skills. Cosmetics looks good. Hope it adds multiple ghost option because one ghost a bit less for me. I can say that this game is close like Trackmania just more strict skill less luck or bounce skill. 9/10 update more like add more maps or one more car type
