Possibly one of the worst pinball games ever made. Physics are so floaty it seems as if you're playing on the Moon or underwater. The ball loves to clip through the bumpers or flippers. The designs don't look like an actual table at all while playing, with elements clipping outside the frame. Sound effects are virtually non existent, all the same for all three tables including the same recycled voice effects. And the only "HOT"ness is the girl art which you can see in the screenshots for free. Avoid at all costs. This isn't even funny as a joke game.5 found this helpful
Hot Pinball Thrills is a set of three pinball tables laid out on an ancient pinball simulator. The release date says 2015 but the game seems much older than that. While you get 4K support, the game assets are so low poly and the textures so low resolution that this still somehow looks like it's running at 640x480 or something. You can even see the edges of the polys on the ball! Likewise, choosing 4K resolution doesn't help the aspect ratio for the game... it looks squashed somehow, like it's 4:3 stretched (it may very well be). This game just doesn't look right on modern displays. Putting the substandard visuals aside, the gameplay is equally poor... the pinball physics are just off. The ball will bounce at angles you don't expect. It bounces a little too high and too fast. Catching and trapping the ball is equally ineptly done and just doesn't feel right or play right. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading i…4 found this helpful
Fun pinball with a nice variety of tables. I am at a complete loss to explain all the hateful comments and ratings. Some are absurd. One person said you can't control the speed of the ball at launch. So what? If that's a deal-killer for you, ask for a refund and only buy tables which offer this feature. Don't write a nasty review. I love pinball and own almost every table available on Steam. I set up a game room in my home with a 55 inch UHD TV and X-Box controller. There are many tables "better" than these, which also cost more. There are tables not as good which cost more. If you buy something and don't like it just drop the drama, get a refund and move on. To quote Bart Simpson: "Don't have a cow, man."3 found this helpful
These tables are very enjoyable and creative. I am thoroughly enjoying them.1 found this helpful
It´s three Pinball tables ... generic as it can become. The Sex sell attitude doesn´t work here. It´s as sexy as an oil change. If you pay one Dollar it might me okay but three is already definetely too much here. There are waaaaay better Pinball games out there.1 found this helpful
One thing to clear up is, this is not an "adult" game, or even a very suggestive one, as the title would seem to imply. One reviewer describes it as being about as sexy as an oil change. I think that, ironically, makes it sound far dirtier than the rather chaste experience on offer here. Mind you, i'm not complaining. I'm here for a pinball game, and for the price, this one is not half bad! The "Moulin Rouge" table plays the best, IMO, and is a far better theme than the generic "Beach" and "Car Wash." Though these other two included tables still have board features that demonstrate some care and thought went into the design. Definitely, as other reviewers have mentioned, turn off V-Sync to improve the physics, and while you're at it, check that the detail is set to max. As the game defaulted it to a lower setting for me, for some reason. Of course, if you put this collection up against all-time classics or original tables from the big names in digital pinball, it's not going to hold up in that comparison. But even as I was typing that, just now, I realized that there are a handful of tables in those other collections which, for all their higher production values, I'm actually les…
