About HTD
HTD is a mix of classic party-based RPG and fast-paced, real-time action. Take control of a party consisting of a healer, tank, and damage dealer, each of whom excel to an extreme level in their specific role, but fall short in others.
The burly DPS, with a big sword and a lack of armor, is capable of dishing out extreme damage - enough to defeat most bosses in a few blows, under the right conditions. However, they can only stand a few hits, and require sufficient openings to deal maximum damage.
The steel-clad Tank, a heavily-armored juggernaut with a heavier shield, is able to safely nullify damage and has an extreme health pool. However, they have no form of attack whatsoever.
And the mysterious Healer, with staff and tunic, can rapidly restore the party's HP, mend their equipment, and revive fallen allies. However, they are sorely lacking in both defense and offense.
Each party member must be mastered and utilized to their full potential in order to overcome the myriad brutal foes in HTD. Rapidly cycle through party members, parry and interrupt enemy attacks, weave in healing and repairs, and stun your enemy long enough for the DPS to charge a fatal blow, all while weathering the onslaught of your hellish adversary.
Do battle with over 15 fully animated and unique adversaries, each with their own quirks, strategies, surprises, and horrific design. Delve into horror by discovering secret levels that take you into the dark, forgotten recesses of the land, where eldritch nightmares push your party's skills - and sanity - to their limits.

FREAKING FANTASTIC INDIE GAME, loved it!! I was actually extremely pleasantly surprised by how tight the controls are which is my main praise, the game feels extremely good and fun to play on a technical basic level, which is imo the most important thing. Swapping characters, healing, repairing and doing damage to build up stuns all happen extremely fast and exactly when you want them to, which makes the combat snappy and fun. The game is also more or less a boss rush, with some little extras and optional bosses thrown in, which is a nice change from the soulslikes and rpgs we tend to see popping up more and more every year. The game doesn't waste your time with trash mobs or grinding, you are just pitted up against bosses and making choices on your upgrades as you progress. It is a short, but tightly focused experience, which isn't always my cup of tea but I thoroughly enjoyed it regardless. The art and sound design are of course all done by the creator and is very much charming and impressive work. It is still an indie title and that doesn't appeal to everyone, but as an indie title it is very good and deserves much more recognition! Alright, My friend bought me the game with little to no context. I must say It's hella difficult but was absolutely fun and rewarding once I actually beat the enemy. Although it took me a bit I do recommend the game. May not be long but it sure as hell is fun!1 found this helpful
This game is challenging and outside of my usual game genre but it is very fun and enjoyable to learn. It has a slight learning curve but as you start progressing the desire to keep pushing on is intense. The dialog, characters and monsters are all very unique and I love the music that plays through the game. I haven't beaten the game as of yet, but I'm determined!1 found this helpful

This game offers a unique, almost puzzle-like aspect of combat that is simple yet effective. There is a very steep learning curve, but once you have crested that hill, the game becomes incredibly addictive and rewarding. While the combat itself is very simple, the bosses present new and unique challenges such that no two fights will play out the same; each one requires you to adapt. While the replay value may be limited, there are plenty of secrets and extras to be found. Overall, this game is incredibly difficult yet incredibly rewarding, so if those games are up your alley like myself, you will greatly enjoy this game.1 found this helpful
