It was interesting enough for me to finish it all, but still obviously raw. If you finish the true ending for Yuu as your sweetheart, it still says "Mom didn't get better, but I will" for YUA. What? Why would she get better, when Yuu is the one who's sick. Was it that hard to switch the text for only TWO true endings? Also what's up with the illustrator that did sprites + ending cutscene, did they refuse to do cut scenes in the end (yua with the knife, siblings hugging etc)? They looked bad. Considering the overall writing and plot, I do not dislike it. The lack of choice is understandable, since we're supposed to follow along the logic of the victim of abuse, I just found it tedious and too unimaginative. The whole mc eating in the hospital and the friend always being there, too, just doesn't make sense to me. Does the hospital just let anyone in and lets them do whatever. Does the friend has nothing else to do other than come to hospital to never even visit their sibling. As a person with CPTSD, am I supposed to believe the ending dialouge about how one twin doesn't talk to another one because boo hoo they are so triggered, but they love them anyway? Your twin will die, get ove…

A step up from "My GF doesn't know what I'm into" but unfortunately still poorly written. It's difficult to take the portrayal of abuse seriously when paired with a fanfiction trope that exists solely to write angsty pieces about your favourite tv characters. This isn't to say that the hanahaki disease trope couldn't be paired with a serious narrative, but it hasn't been done well at all, and the use of the trope feels more like an afterthought, used to get the love interest into the hospital, and then ignored until it's time for some more sickly coughing.

A really well made game, had me in tears ngl at the ending.
