A comet has struck Jupiter’s moon Europa, opening its hidden, icy depths to exploration for the first time, and a team of intelligent machines is sent to investigate. You take on the role of Verne, an inquisitive flying robot designed to venture into the ice caves and look for signs of alien life.
What Verne discovers deep beneath the ice will challenge your ideas about identity, free will, and the fundamental nature of humanity.
Before I played Ice Caves of Europa, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
1 found this helpful
THE CONTROLS ARE SO BAD AND THERES NO CHECKPOINTS AND THERES SO MUCH UNNECESSARY TRAINING AND DIALOGUE AND THE GAME MOVES FOR YOU AND DRIVES YOU STRAIGHT INTO WALLS SO YOU HIT THE SURFACE SO HARD BECAUSE OF THE GAME NOT YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO RESTART YOUR HOUR OF PROGRESS 30 TIMES AND YOU CANT EVEN SKIP THE OTHER HOUR OF DIALOGUE OR YOURE GONNA MISS 50 KEYBINDS THAT ARE NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE GAME AND THE GAME STOPS YOUR PROGRESS EVERY 5 MINUTES AND THERES NO SETTINGS AT ALL YOU CANT CHANGE ANYTHING AND THE MOVING KEYBINDS ARE THE ARROW KEYS INSTEAD OF WASD AND THERES NO WAY TO CHANGE IT BECAUSE THERES NO SETTINGS AND NO KEYBINDS ARE EVEN USING THEM THIS IS THE WORST GAME EVER
This is a nice indie physics drone controller game. You want to change to Stable mode as soon as the game sets Unstable as the default. The "Stable" mode is a great sim of a little europa drone and it feels fun to control. Even if you're fighting it abit, you eventually get a hang of it. Idk what the devs were smokin when they came up with the idea of unstable mode, its literally like they made fun sim controls then were like what if we took all the good design out of it and made this drone fly like its been hit by a rocket. Anyways as soon as you set it to Stable it stays there it looks like and its easy to change. There is also abit too much tutorialisation for what is pretty simple ideas, I feel like going back to the 'test' room just messes with the flow of the game. This game is abit of a gem and I might try and finish it to see if goes somewhere. Definitely has a nice atmosphere with the music and sounds. Hope they play into that.
Worth the price, and although it is not exactly the most complicated game I've ever played, it was ok and I don't regret spending time on it.
