Intrepid is a science-fiction puzzle adventure developed and published by Miskatonic Studio that places players aboard a doomed spacecraft where survival depends not on combat or reflexes, but on intelligence and observation. Beginning with the player awakening from cryogenic sleep, the story quickly establishes a sense of mystery. The ship is in crisis, the crew is nowhere to be found, and critical systems are failing. With limited information and little time to waste, players must explore the vessel, uncover what happened, and find a way to escape before disaster becomes inevitable. What immediately stands out about Intrepid is its commitment to the escape-room concept. The game is structured around exploration and problem-solving, encouraging players to inspect every corner of the environment in search of clues. Locked doors, encrypted systems, hidden objects, and scattered pieces of information form the backbone of progression. Rather than guiding players with excessive hints, the game allows them to piece together solutions on their own, creating moments of genuine satisfaction whenever a puzzle finally clicks into place. The spaceship itself functions as both the setting an…
its short and sweet. i love the style, the story, the lore and especially the effort put into this game. 10/10 would recommend
It is a free to play indie game. So lets talk about some of the good first. The graphics were fine, puzzle answers were ease enough to input (once you find them). But, it needs work on game play. There wasn't a good flow to clues. Or a way to tell what clues you need use or where at least to find them. The only one I was able to figure out on my own, was the for the security screen. Where I could see the color atop the yellow page I found. A piece of paper that was hard to find due to how far back it was on the cabinet. I didn't have any indication where to look for most of the clues. And the tablet was a nightmare. This is a point and click game. Needing to scroll or swipe is not a good way for it to work. If there had even been arrow to indicate there was more than 1 page, that would have at least given me the idea that I should try. I consider myself pretty good at escape rooms and escape games. This was awful because there basically no way for me to figure out how to figure this all out without looking online. It is free to play, so at least it's not a waste of money. And I do think that if there was a better flow it would be a better play. It needs clearer hints on where to …
Game is awful. I love puzzle games, don't get me wrong, but this game is very poorly designed. Games like Portal which are meant to have challenging puzzles typically have elements of conveyance to help the player understand what buttons do what. They also piece together the different puzzle elements in a way that makes logical sense and teaches the player to do different things. This game just throws you in and makes the puzzles not really make a whole lot of sense and hides panels and buttons in a not at all visible way. If you want a puzzle game to be hard, you don't hide the buttons to open keyboards or drawers. Those are the things you shouldn't be making difficult. Instead, you should be challenging the player with the information they find in those spots. The spots should be conveyed to be important, but the clues within those spots should be difficult to understand their relevance or how they solve the puzzle. This game only feels as though its possible to solve if you run around the entire thing spamming mouse 1 hoping to open something or trigger something, OR if you watch someone solve a portion of it themselves and then just copy it. Once you've solved it once, you can …
This game has very complex puzzles with no little direction. The lighting is terrible and there was no brightness setting.
