About Immortals Must Die

Dying is part of the job
Prepare to die a lot in this game, but always in a rewarding way. Each time you die, you learn more about the game mechanics, unlock new stuff and spend what you've collected to get stronger. Collect all 5 seals to save yourself from the uncertain future.
Rogue-lite
Immortals Must Die is a rogue-lite that mixes aspects of Hades with Dead Cells, adding unique elements such as the gear set system, which adds more complexity and different ways of playing.

Story
You are the child of a forbidden love between a goddess of light and a god of darkness. You are a god!
However, your powers were sealed with five keys given to the highest-ranking demon in five different multiverses. You were then left on Earth so that you wouldn't be found.
The gods have discovered your existence and are angry. They have imprisoned your parents and are searching for you.
You need the keys to become an immortal and face other immortals.

As of July 1st 2024, Bought the game and really enjoyed it at first. It's a DeadCell/Skul like. Gameplaywise it's identical. But you have armor that you will have to upgrade and you'll try to get a set to get a bonus. IF you're lucky you can buy the double jump, should be given from start. Until now everything is great. So the game is divided in worlds and levels. When you finish all levels you go to the next world but it's basically all the same back to square one but the ennemies just scale up in power so that you have to grind to buy upgrade for your armors. It really disappointing to realised that all world are just the same. You have a few mini games to improve your skills and armor, nothing fantastic but nice. Note that bugs that are supposed to be patched are still bugging, like the bug attack taht i encountered a few times After almost 4 hours of playing, the game completely crashed and crashed my PC too. Restart everything but the game don' t launch anymore. I just get the loading screen for an instant and then it shut down by itself and back to Steam. I checked the files' integrity, Steam says it's fine, I, then unisntalled and re-installed and still doesn't work. Thu…3 found this helpful
Fun simple game. BUT. For a achievement hunter. You have to correlate the effort of your game with the effort for 100% Achievements. You cannot expect anyone to grind a total of 30+ hours of your game for all achievements with a commercial free art style that gets old after level 2. Grinding your game was torture but. A+ for effort and fun.2 found this helpful
A good game that is worth every penny.1 found this helpful
The developer really put an effort here, for a first game I say it is a solid release. Please continue!
Fun 2D rogue-lite. Looks chaotic but rewards skilled play.
Awesome little dead cells/roguelite game
