About Incoming + Incoming Forces

✦ AI summary

Experience relentless fast-paced shooting across two campaigns where you battle alien invaders defending Earth, then switch sides to protect an alien homeworld from human forces using vehicles and base defense tactics. This legendary shooter pack delivers non-stop action with massive enemy hordes and satisfying gunplay that appeals to both hardcore and casual players alike.

Prepare for one of the most action packed-shooters in PC gaming history! Every level is full of enemies and targets for you to destroy! In the first game you will battle alien forces intent on wiping out the Human civilization. As a soldier you will use various vehicles and defend vital bases on Earth against the invaders' forces. In the second one you will become a soldier of the alien species and protect your home world from the forces of the Human armada.

Both games were famous for fast-paced action, hordes upon hordes of enemies and incredible, cool and satisfying gameplay – this pack is perfect both for hard core action shooter gamers and “Sunday school” casuals. Tons of fun included.
Rage or not to rage Classic game from 2000s. Apparently not that good now. Released on Dreamcast which presumably I still got it somewhere. Controls on the PC version are crap, controller not working either. Soundtrack is quite nice however I find the main problem in gameplay. 4:3 aspect ratio, low res graphics. Nowadays it might seem pretty shallow and flying around a hassle. Still, plenty of levels and challenges to take on. Campaign mode or arcade, your choice. Slightly towards no. Note that Incoming Forces DLC not working on 64-bit systems despite troubleshooting.

Incoming + Incoming Forces, developed originally by Rage Software and now available on Steam through Funbox Media Ltd, form a fascinating historical snapshot of late-1990s and early-2000s PC gaming culture—a time when 3D accelerator cards were transforming the industry and developers were eager to prove what new hardware could do. The first Incoming was designed unapologetically as a visual showcase, and even today that intention gives it a refreshing sense of confidence. Rather than easing players into its universe or offering lengthy exposition, the game throws them directly into an Earth under siege, where alien assaults batter military installations, and survival depends on split-second adaptability. Storytelling is minimal because the experience is meant to be kinetic, chaotic, and immediate. The player is not a chosen hero but one more weapon in a global effort to push back an overwhelming threat, and that simplicity gives Incoming a purity that many modern shooters, weighed down by lore and narrative obligations, lack. What set the original Incoming apart—and still does—is its shifting perspective and varied mission design. Instead of binding the player to a single vehicle …
