By telling you the only problem i have with the game being the slightly janky movement of the player, mainly in vehicles, you can guess that it's a really good experience. I still think a little more fast paced gameplay, more Quake-style if i may, would make it more enjoyable.

I was in a Quake mood and I noticed that I had Quake 4 in library so I decided to give it a try. I love 2000's era games and I was right at home with this one. But in terms of it comparing to other Quake games, its low on the totem pole. It mostly just other marines ordering the player to go here and do that. Quake 4 reminds me of Halo in terms of the feel and the vehicular combat. I do recommend this game. However, this game has some technical issues and probably needs a remaster since even if you set the graphics to the highest settings, it'll still put it at the lowest settings possible. You have to go into the files and change it there which a quick YouTube search can help with that. There is also crashing issues throughout even during the vehicle sections. This game deserves a second chance and I do think it is possible that it will get remastered like NightDive did with the other games. We will see.

It's ok. The single player is a pretty mediocre and slow-paced experience. The set pieces are much better than other quake games, but pretty much everything else suffers. However, it's pretty cheap and comes in a bundle with all the other quake games, so it's worth the short playtime. Would be interesting to see a remaster of this game.

It needs heavy updating If you're not tech savy, do not buy it because it will not render it into normal resolution nor will it let you. It will not let you render it beyond 1920 * 1080, you will be mostly stuck with 720p or lower.

A great FPS game, a classic even though I have gotten my hands on this gem very recently. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, its good level design, and the shooting. Story wasn't anything special (though I enjoyed it), but still if you like weird alien races and ominous places with dysmorphic, gruesome atmosphere, Quake 4 is for you.

This game is so underrated and overhated It's truly the black sheep of the franchise yet I still love it
