Infinity Disk

The basic mechanic of throwing a frisbee around works brilliantly in VR, but adding to that the need to teleport to wherever you're throwing it, and sticking barriers, enemies, and timed gates in front, and it all gets fantastically frantic and beautifully challenging. Completing these levels might only take a couple hours in a hardcore session but it's incredibly satisfying, and having a challenege mode for every level (as well as throwing practice, and target practice modes) really adds in some replayability to master the levels. Currently there are 12 levels with additional challenge objectives and some target practice modes, all in singleplayer. The developer has indicated there will be more levels and a cooperative multiplayer mode in the future - I can see this being very similar to the way Portal 2 coop works, and should be really interesting. However, I am reviewing this game as though I had paid $14.99 USD.[/u][/i] There are a lot of disc throwing VR games as well as a few puzzle games that involve throwing objects. However, this disc-throwing puzzle game is a cut above prior attempts. Each level is well designed and has the right increase in difficulty as you progress. I will admit that throwing the disc felt very weird to me at first. However, as I started doing more challenging puzzles it clicked. I understood why the developer had made this decision of making the disc feel airy (although in settings you can change the gravity to give it a different feel). This is about helping the player throw the disc predictably to be able to throw the disc up, down, sideways, bouncing off walls. Its a fun game, in the later stages it can get a bit more challenging. I like the atmosphere with the music and the level design. Its a nice mix of throwing discs and solving puzzles with the disk. The disc physics work really well. At first I thought it would be too easy, but along the way, new objectives are added. For example you have to shoot enemies with the disk or use the shield to solve the puzzles.

I don't feel like I get it. In the time I've played, I feel like I'm just bouncing the disc between myself, and [myself] that I teleport into (main mode). I might be really bad, but I feel like throwing the disc with any level of speed just doesn't really work, if you're looking to catch it with your teleported self. Throw practice is pretty dull. The challenge mode feels about the same. The gameplay just doesn't feel interesting to me?
