About InkSplosion
Why should war be hell when it could be fun? Enter InkSplosion, a single screen twin-stick shooter, where the only real enemy is beating your previous high-score!
Inspired by both modern and old school shooters and from the developers behind Midnight Deluxe, InkSplosion is an arcade delight that is simple to learn, yet hard to master, thanks to endless levels that are decorated only by your colourful ammunition.
Should you rise to the challenge and emerge experience, it only means it is time to bid “farewell” to Normal mode and say “hello” to Arena and Hard, 2 brutal modes that would offer even the most gung-ho of players a worthy conquest!
Once you start playing, it becomes really hard to stop!
Features:
* 3 Game Modes (Normal, Arena & Hard)
* Endless Levels
* 5 Different Weapon Types
* In-game achievements
* Original Soundtrack by Levi Bond
* Voice over by Barry Dunne

They dropped the ball on the 2-yard-line with this. Concept is 'aight, but - * Controls are dog-slow. No twin stick shooter should feel like flying a 747. * No adjustable difficulty. * Enemies pretty ruthlessly target just you. Why do they have different colors if they're all on the same team anyway? * Restart loop seemed kind of broken. I had to pause it and restart it from the pause menu. * No health recharges that I could see, ever. So you go into the next wave having taken 2/3 hits already, why bother?1 found this helpful
This is an example of a game that I would give a 50/50 score or a neutral rating. It works very well, and runs as intended, but it would benefit with some controller support. I am grateful for its manageable and easily achievable achievements! I purchased the game on sale for 80% off at $0.99 USD, and at that price I think it is worth it. I however hesitate to fully endorse the game at its full price of $5 USD because I only got a half hour worth of playtime out of it.1 found this helpful

This game is a perfect example of a game you should definitely give a chance. It's very difficult, and it throws you into the fray with no tutorial and you have to figure it out on your own. It's like a souls-like bullet hell game. Once you learn the basics, it's actually not too difficult to complete all the achievements and I can say for sure it was a lot of fun to play through this game. ♡ Gameplay: 18/20 ♡ Writing: 15/20 ♡ Visuals: 18/20 ♡ OST/SFX: 15/20 ♡ Accessibility: 10/20 ♡ Total: 76/100 Notes: - Everything white hurts you in this game, including the lines that move around. Focus more on avoiding obstacles and bullets to survive! - Killing enemies heals you! So taking damage is fine if you can get enough kills to recover and keep playing. - Celeste <3
InkSplosion is a compact, high-energy arcade experience developed by Petite Games and published by Ratalaika Games S.L. that fully commits to the fundamentals of the genre: immediacy, repetition, and the pursuit of mastery through score chasing. Rather than building a layered progression system or narrative framework, the game strips itself down to a single-screen arena, constant enemy pressure, and a rule set that is easy to learn but difficult to dominate. From the first moments, InkSplosion makes it clear that it is designed for short, intense play sessions where reflexes and spatial awareness matter more than long-term planning. The core loop revolves around surviving waves of enemies in a confined arena while wielding a randomly assigned weapon each round. This randomness injects variety into every attempt, forcing players to adapt their tactics on the fly rather than relying on a single optimal strategy. Some weapons favor precise positioning and careful aiming, while others reward aggressive movement and crowd control. Because the arena never changes, the evolving weapon loadout and escalating enemy behavior become the primary sources of tension, creating a rhythm that feel…
