About Invisible Wings: Chapter One

Invisible Wings: Chapter One is a visual novel that takes the player on a journey in a dystopian fantasy setting. Follow Dawn, a young woman of faerie descent, as she tries to find answers to her own identity in a modern world where faeries and humans were supposed to live in harmony. Being bullied and harassed most of her life because of her appearance, she wants nothing more than just being an ordinary human. Although she blames her magical ancestors for all her problems, she meets a faerie herself, who grows more than a friend to her and complicates her quest even further.

Explore the vibrant and diverse city of Ceylynn and help Dawn with her first steps into loving and accepting who she is in this first chapter of Invisible Wings, which is a proof-of-concept for the story and world that can be played through in 45 minutes.

Invisible Wings: Chapter One is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This isn't even a complete E-book (which was supposed to be about what the author thinks fairies are), the "author" couldn't be bothered writing out the rest, presumably after they saw absolutely nobody reading through this advertisement. Adverts are bad, nobody likes them, but advertising products that don't even exist is even worse. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click your mouse…

It has fairies, which is great, but it also find the story to be very personal and resonating. It's a sweet little game with a lot of charm!

The demo has alot of promise and feels made with love, however I can't get over the cheesy anime sounding voice acting and the Same Face Syndrome. The backgrounds are gorgeous. It seems like it could be good in due time. Keep at it, Audune.
Before I played Invisible Wings: Chapter One, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
