It Belongs in a Museum is a free to play Rogue-lite, treasure hunting, artifact collection VR story game. It worked on my Index, HTC Vive and Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Give this free game a try, you might like it.

"It Belongs in a Museum" is a poorly made VR exclusive contentless (procgen) dungeon shooter game that flopped due to general lack of quality and polish... it was a clunky mess that gamers didn't enjoy. The idea is that you're Lara Croft doing tomb raiding to get stuff, which means fighting a goddess thing by shooting stuff... ugh. It's a crappy VR FPS. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency.  There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. [h1]Cool Idea, But Needs Work[/h1] This game has a really awesome concept and honestly a solid base, but there are a few things that held me back from giving it a thumbs up. I really want to like it, so I’ll be keeping an eye on updates. Here's what stood out: [h2]Grabbing Items Feels Off[/h2] Grabbing weapons, ammo, and treasure just feels weird and inconsistent. Sometimes I have to try a few times to pick something up, and in the middle of combat, that’s super frustrating—especially when I accidentally grab the wrong thing just because I moved my head too far. Some ideas that might help: Maybe use a system like Boneworks/BoneLab where you always pull ammo from the same spot (like your left hip). Move weapons to the shoulders and have a dedicated bag spot (maybe a button press or something fixed), so it’s not just a loose object that floats around. A Half-Life: Alyx-style distance grab would be amazing too—especially for people playing while seated. Rather than hiding its limitations, the game frequently embraces them as part of its identity, resulting in an adventure that can feel rough and unpredictable but also refreshingly playful. The premise revolves around a mysterious organization with ancient roots and a resurrected goddess whose powers have been severely diminished. Players accompany her on a journey to recover magical treasures associated with a curse, venturing into tombs, dungeons, ruins, lost cities, and other dangerous locations.
