Welcome to the era of human civilization's demise. In the magical civilization where you will be reborn from the ashes, you will manage an 'Old World' museum. As the museum expands and delves deeper into the 'Old World,' what kind of life will you lead in the new world, and what kind of conclusion will you face...?

Free expansion + rich furniture system. You can choose any style to build your museum.

As a museum curator, you'll need to repair artifacts, optimize the layout of the museum, and provide explanations to every visitor who comes in.

Turn materials acquired through adventures into crafted items using alchemical machinery. While these crafted items become immensely popular, only you understand that "they are merely a trace and imitation of artifacts from the Old World."

As both the curator and explorer, you venture into the "Old World," defeating monsters and enriching your museum's collection.

Utilize magic to unlock artifact side quests and standalone dungeons, delving deep into the secrets behind the relics. In the ancient ruins, unravel the threads, documenting the traces left by time.

White tower mage, traveling merchant, scholar, retired investigator, artificial steward... As the museum grows, more and more people gather around you. Their destinies have long been intertwined with yours, and you will lead them towards what kind of future...?

It has potential but the english translation is bad. Also, it seems like the developers have stopped updating the game.2 found this helpful
Don't buy! The last update broke the game, and I only see a black screen with the mouse.1 found this helpful
LOST IN TRANSLATION I absolutely love the concept of this game. It really seems to question the connection between historic artefacts and people, and likes to get philosophical. Which is really unfortunate, given how weak the English translation is. The terminology and characters' names are not standard and sometimes change even within the same screen, which makes the game's story really hard to understand. I gave up after getting stuck in three different quests simply because I couldn't figure out what to do. I will not refund the game because I really hope that it will get a proper English translation one day, but as is, it is unplayable.1 found this helpful
Museum No.9 is an ambitious indie title that blends museum management, light RPG mechanics, and exploratory adventure into a single, thoughtfully paced experience. Developed and published by YaoYi Technology, the game places players in charge of a museum built atop the remnants of a lost civilization, tasking them not only with curating exhibits but also with uncovering the history behind the artifacts they display. Rather than presenting a straightforward simulation, the game leans into a hybrid design philosophy, inviting players to alternate between quiet, creative management and more active exploration beyond the museum’s walls. At the heart of the game lies the museum itself, which functions as both a source of income and a personal creative space. Players are free to design exhibition layouts, place artifacts, decorate halls, and optimize visitor flow to improve satisfaction and revenue. Decisions about where and how relics are displayed matter, as different arrangements influence how visitors move through the space and how much they are willing to spend. This gives the management layer a hands-on, tactile quality, making the museum feel less like a static menu-driven system…
The game seems interesting but the localisation is very rough.
Even though the english isn't perfect, I still find the game to be very enjoyable and the gameplay is very addictive and satisfying
