Many people have been killed in a small countryside area surrounded by forests.You play as Walter, a detective. One day, his partner Nathan calls him about a new murder case. With help from Jax, a forensic expert, they find evidence that leads them to a lonely house deep in the forest.At first, Walter wants to find answers. But soon, the investigation becomes a nightmare.Walter and Nathan search the house and the forest. They find dead bodies, dark secrets, and strange creatures. The more they learn, the more they see that something evil is hiding there.Walter must follow the clues, stay alive, and discover the truth behind the murders.

The game starts by putting you in the shoes of a guy with a deep, growly voice who's living in a pretty run down place. At first, everything feels surprisingly normal. You're asked to drink some beer, do the laundry, and put the wheels back on your van. Before long, though, it becomes clear that this is the daily routine of a serial killer. Your next task is to murder a group of Boy Scouts in the woods and load their bodies into the back of your van. After that shocking turn, the perspective shifts and you take control of a police officer investigating the crime. The controls are standard for a first person game. An interaction prompt appears whenever you get close to an object and aim the dot in the center of the screen at it. There are no waypoints or highlighted objectives to guide you, but interactable objects are always tied to your current task. Anything unrelated either won't display any information when you look at it or can no longer be interacted with once you've already used it.
