"johnsgame" is a 2D retro pixel top down shooter (with lightweight "survival" mechanics, aka, food and water meters) that's been slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio video game construction kit from Yoyogames. The game seems to have been made more as a joke than a serious and sincere attempt at game delivery (edit: I was wrong, it's just made incompetently). Some elements of the game are done badly on purpose, such as a huge, annoying text overlay in the middle of the screen that interferes with actually trying to play the game. I appreciate some developers think it's amusing to clutter the Steam store with junk games and jokes like this, but it's not good for the industry and isn't amusing for gamers to have to wade through all the garbage. Gameplay is terrible, a few things just don't work (like you can't drink water as far as I know, so you just die after a while). GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and unsurprisingly results in products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers.
