About Kartoffl
Guide a group of adorable spuds through a series of challenging and varied levels in this cute adventure that can be played seated, standing or in full room VR. Each spud has a mind of their own, so it’s up to you to manipulate the world around them as they wander, jump and stumble through it.
The spuds are on the run - and they need your help! There’s no questioning their adorable cuteness, but their intelligence is another matter, as they carelessly stumble to their demise unless you place the correct devices in their path.
Partially inspired by gaming classics such as Lemmings and Pipe Mania, the base premise of Kartoffl is simple: help the spuds get safely from point A to point B. The visual style is playful and full of character, while gameplay interactions are intuitive and snappy.
If you want the true Kartoffl experience, you’ll need to do more than getting the spuds from A to B. Each level is filled with stars to collect, meaning you’ll have to get creative and reactive in your role as guide and protector.

I have played my fair share of the free demo already, and was looking forward to the games release. The game is great fun to be honest, it doesn't come at a very hefty price, which I think is a nice bonus. The gameplay is fun, the controls are very simple and it's easy to understand how to play. The artstyle and characters are beyond adorable and the levels start to get decently challenging rather quickly. Another thing I really like is that you do not have a single clue if you're beating the level the intended way (if there even is an intended way) or if you are just absolutely winging it but somehow still saving all the little potatoes. The one in game thing that can sometimes be a little annoying is that whever you finish a level, the "level complete" screen is in a set position, meaning if you've been looking around while playing, you're gonna have to look around to find it. (This can also be difficult for people who are not used to being in VR). Another thing I really hope the devs plan to add is custom levels. Experienced on a Meta Quest 2 using airlink. Kartoffl is an amazing VR puzzle platformer that brings me back to the 16bit gaming days, specially the game Lemmings. This game is in a beautiful VR world where you are freely to move around with the control sticks, a grab and pull motion or my fav, room scaling. Can be played seated or standing. The object of the game is to get these cute walking spuds from point A to point B. Problem is, these little spuds think every step is a safe one. Our job is to make sure it stays that way. We will be playing in a platformer world, where we have to examine the level and add object to the world to save the little spuds. This starts off easy but ramps up in difficulty fast. With tons of levels to play and having to collect 3 stars on each level, you will have a lot of play time and replay value. The controls are very simple and anyone can dive in and be entertained by this great puzzle platformer. I really enjoyed playing in this VR world, and had a retro blast doing so.
