I bought Kelder on sale a couple months ago, I finally loaded it up. My wheel house is for sure horror and psychological horror games. I buy all games in this genre with a reasonable review rating. At the time of this review, I've roughly played around an hour and I think I can give my review on Kelder now. Pros * It's definitely got some scary stuff going on, I really appreciate the ambience and SFX * What I've seen from the enemies, they are nerve racking and look scary * The story seems promising and quite the mystery * Everything is dirty, darkly lit and creates a great atmosphere. The graphics aren't bad either! Cons * I don't like the map system in Kelder, why can't I just press M and bring up the map. Instead I have to press tab and select the correct map from my note book, it's a massive time waster. This also doesn't pause the game, so keep that in mind. * Kelder is one giant labyrinth that changes around, you can be transported around the map, be chased by an enemy and get lost. I even had a room appear to morph in front of me and take me back to the start. That was annoying because I didn't understand why. Getting lost is the negative here, with the map being confus…

Welp. I've waited for this game for a long time. I've played the demo and was taken away by the atmosphere and the jumpscares. I'm a huge horror fan and I also appreciate when the developer puts small details or gags here and there for the exploring player to find. And this game has it all. I must say that the full version is nothing like the Demo. It's so much deeper, scarier and better designed. So, if you've only played the demo, I highly recommend you give the full version a try. One of the best things about Kelder is its replayability. I don't know how many times I've started the game over, be it due to me dying or just wanting to play it again, but it feels so different every time you play it. The RNG is really good. I loved the story and the different endings. It's very immersive and if you're a narrative loving person, I suggest you explore more and try to unlock all the endings. There's 3 in total. As a sucker for good level design, I must say this game is a solid 7/10 in that regard. I got lost a couple of times, but the maps are really helpful and will easily get you through the entire game. Kind of must in games tbh, otherwise there's no point. One thing that di…

A perfect simulator of “why did I even come here.” 10 basement doors of 10 — now I turn on the light even in my fridge.
