About Kickshot
Kickshot is a first-person speedrunning game in which you utilize your tools, environment and movement abilities to complete the course as quickly as possible. Speed through the Floating Island, and Desert Wasteland levels. Use unique movement and knowledge of the courses to achieve the greatest time.
Play as Ace and rush through the environment to retrieve your lost acorns. This is Kickshot!
Key Features
Rocket Launcher: Shoot the ground and launch yourself towards victory!
Grappling Hook: Launch a grappling hook onto objects overhead and swing forward over large gaps.
Special Movement: Run along walls, dash, bunny-hop, and exhaust-boost with the rocket launcher to achieve victory
Local Leaderboards: Compete against yourself or friends for the fastest time within each level.

"Kickshot" is yet another of dozens of third person speedrunner platformers with a grappling hook mechanic. It's somewhat remarkable how many of these there are, and this is not the best of them, although it does "work". The movement and handling here isn't as polished and perfect as the others in the genre. As other reviewers have said, Cyber Hook did it better, and I couldn't recommend that to gamers, so I really can't recommend this either. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. Визуальный стиль - приятный и минималистичный, без лишних деталей, что позволяет полностью сосредоточиться на игровом процессе. Разнообразие режимов, от классического матча до аркадных челленджей, постоянно поддерживают интерес и не дают заскучать. Особенно радует возможность играть с друзьями в локальном мультиплеере, что гарантирует веселое времяпрепровождение. Есть небольшие вопросы к балансу сложности в некоторых челленджах, но это скорее вызов, чем недостаток. В целом, Kickshot - это отличная игра для коротких игровых сессий, чтобы скоротать время или просто получить удовольствие от футбола в компактном формате. Однозначно рекомендую!
