This game is like Punch Out on the NES, in the sense that the enemies can do things that the player can't. And, you know what? I hate that. It's 2025. It's hard to follow where the ball is going and that's the game: it's just not appealing gameplay. This just feels terrible to play, and I regret my purchase. The sound design isn't anything special, the music is a little dull. And the game has no quick restart feature because it just wants to waste you time with the intro and outros, without them having any particular presentational benefits. Overall, it is more frustrating than fun to play for me. I do not find the game design enjoyable. Edit: I beat the 3rd character! I still dislike the game.2 found this helpful
King of Ping Pong is a deceptively simple game that is hella fun - you need to not miss the ping pong ball and not tire out before your opponent. It's the type of game you could easily enter flow state while playing, because it requires little focus and lots of focus at the same time. The controls and mechanics are simple but build on top of each other in interesting ways. Much like how in Tetris your block placement will have ramifications on how the level plays out, your success in hitting balls, the direction you chuck them and when you choose to use your super determine an otherwise trivial game. The game is not perfect. The graphics are stylish but a little lacking, and unfortunately there are only 5 characters to play against. The game's UI is also counter-intuitive to the design - as a newer player you want to keep your eyes on the ball to make sure you hit it right, but the UI holds incredibly valuable information like how well you timed your hits, if the enemy punished your hit, and if your super is ready. Having to dart your eyes across the screen doesn't feel like a built-in challenge, it feels like an unfortunate accident. All in all, I like this game. It's short, bu…1 found this helpful
Ping Pang is insane

What does it mean to be human? Is it our brains? our muscles? No... it is our unparalleled ability to overcome challenges and obstacles. THAT is the essence of pingpong. There are five challengers to beat, each with escalating difficulty, some with their own unique tricks and unique abilities. I only managed to beat all of them including the fifth and final one "so quickly" because I played a ton of the demo (which I spent maybe 8 hours on) and maybe because I played the game a bit while invisible on Steam, but the journey is grueling indeed. I used my trusty keyboard and had a good time, but I hear some players might prefer controllers. Overall, I really recommend this game, it's going to push you to the limit in terms of reaction and coordination - most people can beat it, but it will take effort and perseverance. A fair price for winning the pingpong championship. It's very polished and challenging - which feels very worth it for the price. And even if you manage to beat all five champions (which is, again, very tough) you can still try to beat them again with a perfect 5-0 score or attempt the even more difficult championship mode. Grab it if you feel like you want to feel t…
King of Ping Pong Megamix is a really fun game! I enjoyed playing it, the characters looks cute, music is fire, the mechanics/controls are pretty simple, and the game itself is really enjoyable. :> I personally really like the retro theme as well, would recommend this to anyone that's looking for a chill, simple but challenging game! :3 L Nemo though (The selfies...). :<
