Knight's Empire

Knight's Empire is a fun little combination of tower defense and action roguelike mechanics, and I liked how it keeps me moving between protecting my kingdom and gathering the resources I need to survive. I play as Knight, a warrior who wants her own kingdom, and the basic objective is simple enough. I have to defend my territory from waves of enemies while gradually making the whole place stronger. The tower defense side is straightforward but satisfying. Enemies attack in waves, and I have to make good use of traps and defensive tools to keep them under control. I enjoyed having options such as spikes, holes and scarecrows because they let me shape the battlefield rather than relying entirely on direct combat. The exploration between defense rounds adds another layer that I really liked. I have to travel through the forest searching for resources, but my vision is limited and enemies can hide in the darkness. That creates a nice contrast with the more controlled defense sections. I am actively exploring one moment and then preparing for a large attack the next, which keeps the loop from becoming too repetitive. The progression system also gives me some meaningful choices.
