When the CPU is losing, it will cheat. You will get no useful card and the CPU gets every combos, and it will turn the tide in the last minute. In summary, the single player mode sucks!3 found this helpful
This game was pretty much what I expected... a basic Hanafuda game. I would warn though that the menu is entirely unclear about which features were part of the basic game and which were premium content to be unlocked. I was sent to Steam Store a number of times while just looking to see what the different options of the game were. As an implementation of Hanafuda though, the game seemed pretty solid. However, I am only a casual player with only a simple understanding of the rules.1 found this helpful
Fantastic little easy to use Hanafuda digital version. I play Hanafuda with my girlfriend normally on the Switch Clubhouse Games version, but this provides a great alternative that is similar and cheap.
--> This game works in Manjaro Linux without issues! <-- This is one interesting card game and very fun. Collect certain groups to collect points and win! Each of the add ons are worth every penny.
Useful for learning the game, but difficulty is handled terribly. Low difficulty is AI making the worst possible decisions at all times, and high difficulty is omniscient AI who always has the right card in their hand or the top of the deck.
Koi-Koi Japan [Hanafuda playing cards] is a charming and accessible digital adaptation of the traditional Japanese card game that successfully bridges the gap between cultural heritage and modern casual gaming. The game’s greatest strength lies in its elegant aesthetic, featuring beautiful "ukiyo-e" style artwork and a soothing soundtrack that creates a zen-like atmosphere for players. While the rules of Hanafuda can initially feel opaque to newcomers, the title provides helpful guides and a "Guide" feature during gameplay that highlights potential matches, making the learning curve much gentler.
